I've just read through all 700posts.. What a shame to have missed out :( . It was fun figuring out all the code words.

Hey guys,

No news is good news. I'll reply to everyone's PMs over the next little while with an explanation.

cheers

My tax bill is coming up and I'm thinking to get the XS card to pay at Aust Post. Does anybody have any luck with these cards at Aust Post?

Has anyone tried paying a bill at AusPost with a westfield GC recently? Just wondering if the westfield GC is blocked for all bill payments (credit cards, utility, telco, ato) or just some payments ie ATO and credit cards, but works for others, ie utility, telco

Bringing up the old topic... It's been a while since i bought one, and now it appears that XS has been discontinued? Only the regular ones are available via website. Has anyone recently bought one of those regular ones (online or in store), do they still work as eftpos cards at POS terminals outside of westfields?

They do and they now tell you that when you buy them

The former "red" cards and "XS" cards have essentially been amalgamated into the new gift card scheme. There are a couple of designs, but all the cards can be used at [almost] any merchant in Australia displaying the EFTPOS logo.

What is max card value that can be purchased please?

still $995. just don't try and buy too many in one hit.
4-5x at a time I would say max

Maximum of $995 per single card.

Also worth noting that the T&Cs explicitly forbid cash equivalent transactions.

Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be used for cash equivalent transactions (such as bill payments, purchase of financial products or foreign currency, or gambling transactions), reloaded, returned for a refund or have their balances consolidated to a new gift card . We may in our sole discretion elect to cancel a gift card or block such a transaction if you attempt to do so. Gift cards are not legal tender, account cards, credit or debit cards or securities.
