Hi All

Hopefully I've posted this in the right section .

Making a rare work flight on Thursday to Gold from Perth via Sydney. Qantas sent me on offer for lounge access in Perth or Sydney.(I have points but don't fly much and have bronze status). Short connection times so this doesn't work.

I have a 4 hour wait at Gold Coast and would like to get into a lounge at Gold Coast if possible. It is a Jetstar flight back to Perth so will Qantas send me an invite for that leg back to Perth as well? Has anyone had experience in this situation. Advice much appreciated

Thanks

They only do it for selected Qantas flights generally out of peak lounge time.

Haven't seen it for JQ flights.
In any event the OOL lounge is pretty average

In addition, the OOL lounge is very over- crowded most of the time due to its size.

The Qantas Pub at OOL may be a bit ordinary but it beats hanging out the giant food court of a terminal.

I was rhere recently, and found it a nice change of scenery & vibe. It wasn’t overly busy, the chairs were comfy, the bubbles good... but what made it shine was some good old sausso’s and party pies- what a fresh change from syd/mel business lounge slop.

I visited this lounge Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Not overcrowded at all but yes it can be overcrowded at times.

Sausage rolls were quite nice on Saturday afternoon as I'd skipped breakfast.

Also keep in mind the OOL lounge may not be open if using a Jetstar flight. I booked a Jetstar flight via Qantas (to use up Amex travel credit last year) and when I arrived at the airport the lounge was closed because there were no more Qantas flights that day.
