Hi all,

I've booked a OW award for MrsDaver6 and I that includes flights on QF, QR, AY, UL and CX. Obviously I cannot select seats for other airlines using the QF MMB.

Retrieving my booking on QR, it gives me an error when I finalise QR seat selection. Something along the lines of my FF number is already associated with another pax. When I bring up the UL MMB and show pax details, it becomes apparent what the issue is. My FF number is associated with both myself and MrsDaver6. MrsDaver6 shows both her number (first) and then mine. There is no way to edit this.

I rang QF and got the HBA team. They cannot see or edit this problem. Any ideas?

Thanks

Yep, been there just the other week. I called QR and they fixed the duplicated number. Nothing else worked and I tried all the usuals. Qantas wont sort it but QR were rather excellent I must say.

Good old QF. Will give QR a call a little later. Thank you :)

Possibly suggests the issue is with QRs system and how it allocates FF numbers on multiple pax bookings
It’s all to do with an award flight. The number of the account it’s booked through sticks to all the passsengers. Even when all other websites - eg Finnair show upmcorrectly.

Ok, so I just rang QR on the 1300 number. Landed up in what sounded like an India call centre on a terrible line. The lady re-entered, but the issue remains.

When you say they fixed it for you. Did they remove the duplicated number or just allocate the seats you were after?

They fixed up the number and then allocated our seats. They should be able to at least allocate the seats you want if they don’t fix the number. I rang later in the day and am presuming I got through to their centre in Doha. Although accents can be deceptive. Doha is several hours behind Oz and maybe isn’t open yet? You rang the Aussie number?

Correct, rang the Aussie number. I managed to get the QF call centre to allocate my seats when I called this morning. However, I want to be able to do it myself should there be an last minute aircraft change etc.

Might try calling again in a few hours time then.

Thanks for your help :)

Struggled to get through to QR again. After making the initial selection after the call is answered, it tells me the call can't be connected and drops. Just got through now though. This time the agent recognised the issue because its a redemption however she can't "fix" the problem. She did offer to help with seat selection.

What a total PITA. Honestly, the sooner the OW resolves these problems between partners the better. The idea of an alliance is to make it easier for passengers, not more difficult.

It’s weird that some Agents can fix and others can’t. Although it’s the same with Qantas operators as well. The three phone calls to fix the one issue.

Manage your booking on Royal Jordanian website. Select 'Modify Traveller Details'. You will need to enter full APIS information in order to save changes. When you get to frequent flyer details, in the airline box select 'none', then delete the frequent flyer number. Save changes. Depending on how the booking was made you may need to do this twice (your booking may have yours and the bookers FF numbers, delete all of them). You should now be able to manage your booking via the QR website (alternatively you can select seats via the RJ website, I haven't tried all OW airlines but it works for most).

Welcome to AFF @HPSOV - it looks like a very informative "First Post".

Do you need to use your PNR or Ticket number to do this?

Have you been able to select seats? I’ve done an Award booking with them and their website is a dud to me.

PNR. This has worked for me on an award bookings (QF points) on QR where multiple QF FF numbers were attached. And on an Expedia booking with both QR and SK sectors where both my QF (for the QR sectors) and SQ (for the SK sector) FF numbers attached.

Yes I can select seats, I've never booked with or flown on RJ though.
