Yes, we all should know of one public figure vying for an extremely senior position who did that. Workers in at least two companies short changed thanks to that union. However I need to go back on topic.
 
Although QF23 was a little early arriving in BKK on Sunday 20 January 2019, QF24, the return flight is not, with A333 VH-QPI, the 1800 hours that took off at 1933 likely to arrive SAYD on Monday 21 at 0833, 63 minutes tardy.

QF108 departed PEK only six late at 2351 but Monday SYD arrival should be at 1445, half an hour behind the timetable.
 
Monday 21 January 2019 has also seen QF64, the Sunday departure ex JNB, arrive in SYD at 1726 hours, 111 late.

QF93, the 1055 hours MEL - LAX did not push back until 1214 so same day arrival is estimated as 0719 hours, 54 late. This may well delay the transcon QF11 to JFK operated by the ex BNE B789.

QF43, the 1655 hours afternoon SYD - DPS has a pretty good timekeeping record but on 21 January it departed at 1847, meaning arrival is estimated as 2140, 90 late. This is 10 minutes after scheduled pushback of the redeye flight back down to SYD, QF44, which has been put back to a suggested 2255 hours ex DPS. SYD Tuesday 22 arrival should be at 0745, 75 minutes late. The aircraft - A332 VH-EBG - had been late all day today as its initial daytime flight, QF408, the 0700 MEL - SYD did not take off until 0818 despite the plane arriving on the redeye ex PER, QF648, only 15 minutes late at 0615 on 21 January.

The aircraft was then used on a SYD - ADL return, QF741/QF736 with the latter arriving back in SYD at 1635, 100 minutes late, explaning the consequent delay for Bali-bound passengers. Intensive utilisation of this B738 today!

Tuesday 22nd of Jan sees QF581 SYD-PER airborne at 12 14, arrival is revised to 13 48, 88 min tardy (VH-QPH A333)
QF523 SYD-BKK departed at 11 56, it has a suggested arrival at 17 07, 57 min behind schedule (VH-QPF A333)
QF93 MEL-LAX left at 12 14, it is predicted to arrive at 7 15, 110 late (A388 VH-OQF).
 
Also on 22 January 2019, QF23, the 1030 hours midmorning SYD - BKK departed 69 late with projected arrival 41 minutes behind schedule at 1651, meaning QF24 will have a minimum turnaround. Aircraft is A333 VH-QPF that had a 21.5 hour layover in Sydney, so it wasn't an incoming late international flight that delayed it.

QF51 (1150 hours BNE up to SIN) is expected to depart half an hour tardy.

QF24 is again delayed, but not as badly as yesterday, with the Wednesday 23 January 2019 arrival in SYD likely at 0612 hours, 42 late.

The DPS down to SYD redeye QF44 is worse, with A332 VH-EBG suggested as arrving at 0820, 110 late.

The 0635 hours PQQ - SYD, the 0635 hours has had a tardy start to its day with takeoff at 0751 meaning Q400 VH-QOH is likely to arrive at 0854 or later, so a minimum of 69 minutes behind the schedule.
 
In more on 23 January 2019, QF417 (B738 VH-XZO, the 0830 hours SYD down to MEL) took off at 0953 so an 1109 hours, 64 late arrival is suggested.

The 1030 hours SYD - BKK, QF23 is not expected to depart until 1300 hours. This will result in a significant delay to QF24 tonight back down to SYD.

QF81 (1130 hours SYD - SIN) is predicted to depart 35 minutes late.

Also on 23 January 2019, QF63 (1135 hours SYD across to JNB, B744 VH-OEJ) had been displaying as a forecast 25 minute departure delay but it did not take off until 1245. Predicted arrival is 1715, 40 late.

The 1225 hours SYD - MNL, QF19 was showing this morning as punctual but A333 VH-QPE departed at 1333 hoyurs. Consequently arrival is delayed until a projected 1820, 50 down, meaning QF20, the redeye, will be late off blocks, probably at 1935.

Departure of QF23 has become an expected 1500 mid afternoon, so arrival will be at 2045, 285 late. QF24 tonight (BKK - SYD redeye) will be unable to push back until at least 2200 hours, making it around four hours late ex the Thai capital, assuming no further problems. FR24 is showing the aircraft as VH-SBG, a Bombardier Q300 turboprop. Ebven I know that's not jolly likely.

QF81 departed 40 late with anticipated arrival at 1715, half an hour behind. Aircraft is A332 VH-EBS.
 
23 January's QF27, the B744 from SYD for the long trip to SCL departed 57 late at 1347 so expected arrival is 1341, 31 minutes behind.

QF51, the 1150 hours BNE up to SIN is usually punctual but on 23 January it took off at 1426 hours with A333 VH-QPI. Arrival is predicted as 2010 hours, 135 minutes late.

One flight that seems to have difficulty departing on time whether or not QF94 is late is QF35, the lunchtime 1220 hours daily A388 MEL up to SIN. Today, it pushed back at 1306 so Lion City arrival should be at 1739, 34 late.

QF23 departed from SYD at 1525, 295 late, so BKK arrival is predicted as 2045, 275 minutes tardy. A333, VH-QPF, the operating aircraft arrived 45 late on QF24 this morning at 0815 so it must have required some unplanned maintenance or repairs in Sydney. At least the flight was not cancelled, so passengers should be in their Bangkok hotels before midnight.

The SYD - DFW QF7 was also showing earlier in the day as punctual but this A388's departure is delayed by 140 minutes to a claimed 1700 this afternoon with same day arrival estimated as 1505, 125 late.

The arrival gate for QF24 (now due in at 1150 to SYD on 24 January) has changed, so 'the 19' should be punctual.

QF52 departed SIN on Wednesday 23 January at 2152, 112 late with BNE Thursday arrival estimated as 0741, 106 late. It should be returning to SIN as QF51 at 1150, so it's likely to be on time pushing back.

QF117, the 1550 hours SYD - HKG is expected to depart at 1635 hours.

Earlier on Thursday 24 January 2019, no anticipated delays were displaying for QF93, the 1055 hours MEL - LAX but it did not become airborne until 1432. Arrival (same day) should be 0923, 118 minutes late for A388 VH-OQL.

As QF15 from BNE is expected to arrive at LAX 22 minutes early and QF11 only four minutes late, it is likely that QF93 passengers bound for JFK will be transferred to local AA LAX - JFK flights rather than delaying the 0820 hours transcon 'second sector' QF11.

A332 VH-EBQ is operating what may be a 'ferry' (empty) flight from PER to SYD, QF6114 with arrival suggested as 1553 hours. It previously operated the 24 January QF769 from MEL to PER, arriving at 1421 hours yesterday, 11 late, suggesting it then needed repairs as normal practice would be for it to head east yesterday on a revenue flight.

Heard on the radio that last nights QF9 Per-Lhr was delayed for 16hours.

Yes, QF9 on Wednesday 23 January 2019 operated normally between MEL and PER, arriving at 1812 hours, two minutes late, but its timetabled 1940 hours evening departure to LHR became 1115 ex PER on Thursday 24 for estimated arrival at 2045 instead of 0505 in LHR, 920 minutes late. Aircraft on both sectors was/is B789 VH-ZNB.

Today's (Thursday's) QF10 from LHR to PER, the 1155 hours, is showing unrealistically as departing at 2200 hours for PER arrival on Friday 25 at 2255 instead of 1245, 610 late.

Friday's domestic/international QF9 from PER to MEL has been rescheduled to depart at 1900 hours, 285 late, with MEL arrival projected tomorrow night at 0140 on Saturday 26 January, 290 late.
 
And credit to someone in the MEL F lounge today, QF9 is also delayed. Scheduled departure is 10pm for today's QF9 MEL-PER. It's going to be a late departure out of PER if this schedule goes through...

This appears to be because QF10 (B789 VH-ZNE) that arrived PER today, 24 January, at 1224 hours, 21 minutes early did not depart for MEL until 1456, 41 late so arrival has become a suggested 2110 hours, 20 late. The aircraft (going by gate numbers) is immediately turning back to PER and presumably on to LHR, with MEL departure suggested optimistically as 2235 (330 late) and the PER stop from 2330 to 0055, the latter on Friday 25 and 315 late for LHR arrival at 1025 hours also on Friday, 320 late.

1025 in winter is a civilised time to arrive in London, and good for checking into hotels rather than the around 0500 the Qantas timetable foists on anyone who uses QF9.

The ex-LHR QF10 on Friday 25 January is estimated to depart on time at 1155 but unless QF9 can arrive quite a bit earlier than 1025, that is unlikely.

ZND arrived in MEL from LAX this morning and should have operated QF9.
A swap took place and QF9 is being operated delayed by the inbound QF10 that should have gone on to SFO as QF49, which is cancelled.
ZND remains grounded so must be a technical issue.

Flyerqf, given the limited number of scheduled nonstop flights between Australia and SFO in each direction, it is likely that some passengers will be rerouted via LAX?

It's a peak for westward-bound passengers returning to work or school in Oz, so there may not be many vacant seats out of SFO or LAX. The other direction may not be as busy.
