Wait times for KrisFlyer

Trying to get KrisFlyer on the phone with 02 8228 1188. Been on hold for over an hour. The same thing happened to me over the weekend and I gave up. Is there a better number to call?
I am wanting to book MEL-SIN-IST-TLV in J or *A, technically since it is with my Amex points that I am trying to use up.
IST-TLV doesn't appear to be available in J. Will they let me book that segment in economy and still have it on one ticket?
 
I called the number when I read your post to test the waiting time and was transferred to an agent after 1 minute (I did select option 4 for enquiries though and hung up when it was answered)...

I think I got disconnected after one hour and 20 min. I'll try again with option 4. I thought there was also a way to email them.
 
good trick, that worked. I also got through after about one minute by selecting enquiries rather than award bookings but the person I have on the phone doesn't seem very knowledgeable
 
I've been having trouble booking waitlist flights for the past few days. Keeps coming up with an error. Over at SQtalk there's a bit of chatter over the same problem. Maybe there's a lot of people trying to call through to do waitlist/bookings?

Is online Booking revenue/redemption seats working?
 
I rarely wait more than one minute. If you're on hold for an hour, something is probably wrong on your end.
 
I got disconnected after 80 minutes yesterday. I have been trying to get through for a week with no joy. What time of a morning does the line open?
 
Ive been trying since yesterday on hold at least and hour or 2 no answer JUST SHOCKING!!!! Remind me a bit of the Singapore Private Room at SIN!!! Want to book an award on LX TLV_ZRH_MXP LH UA AC show redemptions available in C Krisflyer website only shows A3 TLV-ATH-MXP!
 
Well treid again chose commercial booking instead of award booking and presto got someone straight away who was happy to book an award for me - was intitially told only A3 avaialbel TLV-ATH-MXP
Explained LX flights TLV-ZRH-MXP show on AC Aeroplan United MileagePlus and LH MilesandMore and suddenly they were available to book 25 K Miles and SIN$222 Taxes Ouch for taxes as UA has $US47 for same flights but 25 K in C instad of 50K wit hmileagePlus Booked ticketed MilesandMore SEN number in booking and throne4A on 777300ER allocated by SQ !

United often doesn't pass on fuel surcharges when most other frequent flyer programs will. This is the case for LX and quite a few other Star Alliance partner airlines.

I spoke to Singapore Airlines, and they told me that the recent long call centre waiting times are largely due to Bestjet going into administration (and the large amount of calls they've had to make/take relating to this over recent weeks). They are aware of the problem and are allocating more staff to the Australian contact centre.

yes I know them-just recently tried to book a fare you suggested-an SQ flight using my points and take advantage of the incredible good bargain-a Marrakesh-IST-SIN-MEL flight for 78K!
I booked everything online using TK as the carrier between Marrakesh and IST-but by the time I booked the seats and all, the site refused to accept the payment-urging me to call their office in Singapore-so I did-the poor guy who hardly understand my issue -after repeating 4 times everything came up with a big no -he cannot book this fare as it's all over the place-for *** sake, if your website allows to book it even the seats-how can he say such a bullcrap??
Anyway I wrote some letters as well and SQ was very bad about this-so I had to revise my trip and omit Morocco all the way.Really bad service I agree!
 
Called the same number yesterday, wait time was less than one minute. Requested to book TLV-IST-SIN-BNE in J, agent first looked at each flight separately and said IST-SIN only available on waitlist but after I’ve asked her to search TLV-BNE all flights became available.
This route actually showed up online on KF but the website kept showing error when trying to finalise the payment.

Interesting about your error message. I recently tried to book MCT-IST-AMS online and all was fine until I entered the payment details. Like you I got an error message and had to call up to finalise the booking, but everything was sorted promptly over the phone.

I wonder why these error messages keep appearing?

Not only the booking process has issues, KF website doesn't seem to handle partner airlines searching very well either. It doesn’t show correct availability for *A so need to search on UA then call to book and agents are able to see it on their system. At least they don’t try to charge booking fees.

Yes, that's been an issue ever since they brought Star Alliance bookings online! :(
 
Is anybody else still having massive wait times?
I need to approve a waitlist, and I can't even get on the phone with them.
I tried approving online, but there is no option, is there any other method?
