Power board

Aldi sold a >$20 international powerboard with changeable plugs a while ago that also has four USB charging points. It is packed for all my trips, domestic and international.

The Aldi one does 3.1 Amps @ 5volt over four ports -you'd have trouble charging 2 iPads at once.

I have not regretted buying one.

My sister bought me one of these, but sadly i find them far too bulky.

I use small adapters for each of the countries I'm visiting. Not a fan of universal adapters, they're either too bulky or too flimsy.

Most of my gadgets can be charged via USB so having a pass throughout USB port on my laptop works best to charge even when im not usinh my laptop.

It gets a little more fancy when im exhibiting as i need more adpaters for displays etc so if i need multiple outlets is use the below power board, $20 off Amazon Australia.

Costco less than $30, 2 usbs and 4 power points. We use an adapter for country. In Hilton’s this time wasn’t too bad as most had a USB point.

Last time I was in Hong Kong, I was able to pickup adapters such as the one shown below, for US, EU, UK/HK. Slightly dodgy perhaps, but lets me plug my laptop that only has a two pin plug into one end and still use the back for another item.

Does everyone here pack the powerboard in their checked bags or carry on? I think it may have been Tony Hancock who reported a while back that he had a powerboard in his hand carry which was confiscated in Dubai.

I carry a 6 plug power board, with various plugs and cables, placed in carry on if we have a stopover and I will Charge at airport or checked if flying direct. Never had a problem taking it through

Not a power board but I found this cheap 4x Port USB with travel adaptors online and available at my local Kmart for A$15. Only 4.2A/5V but satisfactory for a couple of devices at a time and certainly overnight recharging:

Fits quite nicely into a CX amenities bag with room for other travel "bag of tricks" things.
