Edit ... where the red cross thing is, I typed square bracket IMG square bracket, which is what i see in the post ...

I did not see this thread yesterday, but am not having any issues viewing images in TR's in Chrome today. As AFF uses a service to cache images perhaps they were having a technical outage and that in turn affected AFF?

Still just seeing IMG for the pics in the first few posts; the more recent one with pics still OK, on iPhone.

The images those with i<things> seem to have trouble seeing were copied and pasted directly into the post. The later ones that seem to be were uploaded from URLs.

Here's a copy and paste:

Here's the same image uploaded from a URL:

And both showing as 'square bracket IMG square bracket' on my iPhone and as follows on my PC laptop!

Are you saying we now have to upload photos to a third party host before we can use them in a TR etc? If so, that counts me out of any more TR’s.

Not saying that - just observing what I can see in serfty's post above. I can see the pics in his actual TR perfectly well.

I'm sure direct upload for posts will ( and does) continue to work - just some issue with serfty's set up, I think.

I am seeing all images, and I use Chrome as my default browser. However, I am encountering the issue with a second account in Safari, so for now this is being investigated and we will try rectify this as quickly as possible, but it may be early January before we have a solution.

We did recently change some hardware on the server, and this may be the cause. Leave it with me.
