Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Booked on Malaysian Airlines First class through Qantas 2 months ago. Flying in Jan. Now that Malaysian airlines have re-branded their First Class to 'Business Suites' will I still get Qantas F Lounge access?

Hello members,
Seeking some advice.
I’m flying Jetstar to Sydney on Christmas evening, and have an eight hour wait overnight to meet up with friends on Boxing Day.
I have Virgin lounge access and AMEX lounge access. If I book accommodation and allowing for travel time I would only have prob six hours at a motel.
Any suggestions of how to fill this time as I’m not familiar with Sydney at all.
Thanks

Sadly, no - according from this post from @DavidFlynn on FT:

Not everyone's cup of tea but Ibis is walking distance from SYD T2/T3. Small rooms but I find it ok for a nice sleep.

A few other hotels within walking distance but could be more expensive.

I think I’m fine. 2 Emeralds (QF WP) flying J on CX into HK then J on Royal Jordanian into Amman. Am I going to be happy? We have 6 hours to fill.

I think you'll survive the 6 hours :p..with that much time I'd probably spend a little time in a cabana to soak away the first flight, have some champagne whilst plane watching (best tarmac views apart from QF), walk over to QF (if open) to have a laugh and another drink and then spend most of the time in the Pier where I'd book a quick massage on arrival and potentially get a day room if any available to relax in peace.

So you are saying I will be able to get into the Pier? I never seem to be able to find the correct Qantas lounge and end up in this pokey thing with barely any food.

Absolutely you will get access to the Pier F lounge. When we went through in October I had planned to visit other lounges but found it too good to leave so just camped there until the flight.
