Double Velocity Points offer - date question

I've activated the Double Velocity Points offer for all 3 of us in our Family Pool, it states that you can fly up until December 5th 2019 and you have to book the offer by Nov 17th 2018.
My issue is that I want to book dates for November 2019 but I can't do this online as it only lets me book up until Nov 8th (as of today)
Do I need to call to book these flights or am I not able to book at all this far out?
Seems odd to allow travel until December 5th If I can't book those dates.
FYI there are 2 Adults, 1 child (3) and 1 infant (0) traveling Sydney - LA

The VA system only allows bookings 335 days in advance .....

... and booking need to be made by 17th December to qualify for double points, so that leaves up to 17th November ...

yes, stupid when it says travel must be done by Dec 5th when you can't actually fly up until then

I don't get you? I really didn't understand this...

It means that on December 21st 2018, you can only make bookings for VA flights up until November 21st 2019. (Note the 21st is a coincidence, it could be 20th or 19th with other months.)
