KrisFlyer or Velocity?

Hello All

Have booked to go back to the UK next May with Singapore Airlines.

Probably a dumb question so be gentle

I am a Velocity silver card holder. Should I also join KrisFlyer or will my Velocity card pick up the points without any bother?

You'll earn Velocity points on an eligible fare class:
SINGAPORE AIRLINES Travel with Singapore Airlines and set your Velocity Points flying.

Check the fare, if it's elegible, then you can earn points and SCs which could help you if you are wanting to chase gold with VA. Otherwise maybe join krisflyer and then transfer to VA if you want to earn velocity points? Just be mindful about the 1:1.55 conversion rate.

Credit to VA and the SC will get you enough to almost retain silver ( subject to some VA eligible sectors)
