Just got approved for this deal today!

120k Qantas Points and $150 back on the card after spending $7.5k in 3 months.

Card annual fee is steep: $425. The $150 back reduces that to $275 in the first year.

You can also earn 75 Qantas status credits by booking two flights by 30 June 2019.

Is this card a good deal? It sounds alright to me.

Are ATO fees an eligible purchase for this card? It seems to not call out 'government expenses' anywhere on the website, so I assume that will be okay for the minimum spend?
 
How long do the bonus 75SC take to transfer over? I think the T&C say up to 10 weeks, but is it usually that long?
 
Does anyone know if I’d be eligible for the bonus points if I hold a ANZ travel rewards card?

I believe so - the "12 month exclusion conditions" for the FF cards and the rewards cards do not include each other. I'm looking at applying for both in the next week or so - for this promotion and also the 80K Velocity points via Points hacks/ANZ Rewards.

With regard to the bonus 75 SC.

I have read on other forums that people have received the 75 SC posted to their accounts even if they did not actually pay for the flights using the ANZ black card.

Example. Work booked the flights for the FF member

Can anyone corroborate this experience?

Also keen to get more detail around the 75SCs. Do I need to pay in full using the ANZ card or can I part pay with gift vouchers?
 
ARRRRRRGHHHHH!

75SCs gone!

Now only 100,0000 points, $4000 spend in 3v months, $200 back.

EDIT: Mrs C too slow in cancelling old cards so missed deadline for new card. Still, 100k points ok,

I have had many trips through work after receiving my card but 75 SC's have not been issued based on those. I called the ANZ card services about this and ended up talking to a card specialist. After checking the details, he told that it's the creation of a new PNR that counts, that's their way to determine if a flight has been paid with the card. The GV's already have a PNR attached to them (created when the voucher was issued) so that would not count as an eligible flight.

I am timing my two ANZ-card flights so that the bonus SC's hit my QFF account after the start of a new membership year. I already have enough SC's this year for my desired level but any boost in the next year is welcomed.
 
Hey Guys, after reaching the spend amount to be elligible for bonus points, how long until they actually hit your account? I read in the T&C's it's "up to 3 months" but is it actually that long? Keen to lock in a QF business class to first class upgrade, but need the points! (I refresh the damn QFF page everyday haha)
 
For me the bonus points were awarded on the last day of the billing month in which I reached the minimum spend - didn't have to wait 3 months, it was about 2 weeks. Ive heard the SCs take longer, but there were not SCs in the offer when i got the card.

Cheers! i'll hold tight a little longer then. Was hoping I didn't have to wait 2 more months...
 
To me they came in the next statement. Hit the spend limit in month 1, points added to the month 2 statement and on the QFF account a day after the month 2 statement was issued.
 
Hi, has anyone paid attention to the point where they might have a clue on when the 75k for 0 annual fee promo is coming back? I used to think that promo was all year round but it stopped a few months back.
 
This has probably been asked before but I can't seem to see, is there any recommendations as to a quick, short flight from Bris and back that I can take before June 30? It'll be the difference between achieving gold this year, otherwise i'll just be on Silver for another year :/
 
Current cheapest seems to be BNE-SYD return on 30th June for $129 each way - but will take up all day.
