The moment I look at EF & see my booked seat & 3 other booked seats on the 380 eleven months away. I like all the planning & regularly following the plane fill up. Bit of a nut about flying. Boring to my family & friends.

You like seeing the plane filling up?!

Yes I do, especially watching if I have empty seat next to me, or seats in F if I have upgrade to F. I’ve been known to keep track of booked seats. Similar behaviour to reading this site daily in case I miss out on anything.

Think I understand now - you like to regularly check if the plane is filling up in case F seats start running dry or someone sits next to you? I do that too.

I check my flights on EF, making me grateful I'm in J when I see a full Y.

That’s it, also draws out the whole experience. For me the experience begins at the booking.

Same here with the booking and I follow the same routine afterwards: seat selection, enter passport details if required, log the flights in ExpertFlyer and update my flight spreadsheet.

Completely agree. Can be quite addictive. Even if looking at seat loads is a bit meaningless so far out.
Before I became quite such a frequent flyer, my experience would actually begin long before booking with all the planning.

Love my subscription to seat alerts ...even as a casual traveller I love looking at the seats and the reviews and and lol
