I have received conflicting information and would appreciate the collective knowledge of members, as a WP flying SYD/NAN on a QF revenue paid ticket, with my itinerary stating QF391 flight number. Do I have access to the QF first lounge?

Thanks!

Welcome to AFF :)

As @defurax advised, on a QF flight number access is available.

This is documented here on the Qantas web site:

Lounge Locations | Australia | Sydney International | International First

It is indeed not clear, but upload_2018-11-14_9-29-7.png effectively means a Qantas flight number.

It's a poor attempt at abbreviation, but it would be better written as:
Next onward flight must be on a:
  • Qantas^ marketed flight,
  • Emirates^ marketed flight,
  • China Eastern*,
  • Jetstar Airlines+ or
  • oneworld operated and marketed flight.

As above.

But a word of advice for those who may come across this thread in the future. I know the OP is on paid fare so not relevant but unless something has changed - Qantas award seats book onto the FJ code and therefore F lounge access is not available.

Was caught out by that once!

That will change in the near future once FJ officially become oneworld connect partner. As QF are one of their sponsors, OWE and OWS members should have access to the appropriate QF lounge, even if travelling on FJ code.

Many thanks for clarifying, greatly appreciated and I can now look forward to enjoying the F lounge! :)

Does it not depend on the flight number. If the ticket carries a QF number, including codeshare, then access is guaranteed, no matter how the ticket was paid for or not?

I was also one caught out. Air North codeshares with QF so I thought I could get into the Cairns lounge. Not so, as the flight was booked on an Air North number (not by me) and not the QF codeshare number. But they kindly let me in.

I did this exact flight with my daughter two years ago - we had no trouble getting in the F lounge, but when I showed the boarding passes to the guy downstairs at the entrance, he checked for my name on a printout he had, before letting us through. Presumably WPs on the Qantas codeshare.

Yes, it needs to be a QF flight number, which the OP has. Whether a ticket is revenue or award makes no difference.
