On Singapore Airlines I am pretty sure they are packaged in plastic (well they definitely are in the economy cabin), If they're not cleaned, they go to an awful lot of trouble to fold and repackage the blankets

All airlines package them in plastic - IMO this is to make its management, transportation and storage easier. Not necessarily laundered unless obviously soiled?

I suspect it is far more practicable for an airline to launder all blankets rather than run the risk of a pax finding something nasty on one.....

I hope so but not necessarily according to
CNN

I know by the end of the day some domestic F blankets in the USA feel pretty grotty. And look equally as bad. The US does seem to stand out in particular though, more so that other countries. It's not uncommmon for return flights to maybe have folded blankets in coach or regional business. But mostly I find blankets in Asia are wrapped and seem to be sort of 'luandered' smelling.

The CNN article seemed to indicate the comany responsible for the luandering was allegedly falling short. Not the direct action of airlines to skip laundering.

Yoga pants and active wear are two very different things!

I prefer the pyjama combo of BA F top and EK F pants. I find these the most comfortable and those pants have pockets, which admittedly QF F do too. A recent addition to my 'kit' is BA slippers.

QF J pyjama tops are not ..... subtle.

If travelling F on Emirates or Etihad I find there is enough privacy in the suite to change without going into the bathroom/toilets.

PJs are handy but changing is tough in the cramped toilets.
I always wear thick socks and slip-on ‘Croc’ type shoes on flights. Saves a lot of time at security and in-flight.

I always take the PJS LX F LH F ANA F EY F CX F TG F UA Polaris SQF and take them home -easier to stay in jeans n tshirts and with the overheating (except on UA) it is uncomfortable to even get under the doonas! UA polaris is nice n cool so the Polaris PJ top is great to wear on board - nice quality cotton which washes and wears very well!!!

I wish I could wear any type of PJs on board, airline supplied or otherwise. I get so hot sleeping that it's nothing but the old meat hangers for me. Imagine if I went sleep-walking on board like that.

I don’t bother with jarmies anymore. In any class. Got used to sleeping in my clothes. Cheers skip

Dennis Bunnik sums it up well in his u-tube video. Wear these pyjamas behind the curtain - “instant cough”

Wore qf pjs Mel-lax as did 90% of cabin. Although not flattering to wear and bet hosties get more than an eyeful than they wished - maybe why they turn cabin so dark.

Wore the (then) black QF 1st class PJs once - before we were halfway across the Pacific I had come out in a terrible rash from neck to wrists and ankles. Would never risk them again. QF said they had never had anyone experience this - but somehow I doubt that

That’s over 14 hours innit?
So don’t they run through one or two artificial day/night cycles with the onboard lighting ... ?

Yes they close down shades, dim lights etc for the day flight which we are doing once again in four weeks. We travelled three times to SA last year. we always book PE and put in for points upgrade as soon as we book. We have scored most of the time on the trip over, and have got upgrade every time returning.
