So let me get this clear - last night there is a formal dinner arranged by an AFF Moderator and held at Olive Tree - Tommy and BC who have been 100% confirmed attendees for this Olive Tree dinner from the get go become aware that Goodonya has at last minute invited himself then suddenly some mysterious illness raises its ugly head so they don’t actually have sit and break bread with the Goody Guy!

Oh yes, I now fully understand your sense of humor @Cruiser Elite , courtesy of @penegal. I visited @blackcat20 at home yesterday morning and she was certainly still in pain and not her usual ebullient self.

My daughter took after you yesterday and had a visit to the GP, an x-ray and an MRI all for a finger injury. I was 1,700kms away listening to the updates (so feeling a bit like @TomVexille, unable to be there to help the patient through).

P.S. Mrs WF WP loves her stash - she squealed when I gave them to her and was busy arranging them this morning

So I managed to find a few people to break bread with. Good to meet QF WP and catch up with Hvr, potm and tennisparadies (and also of course penegal and mickeyc747 on another table). Despite being "copper", penegal was quite hospitable and actually spoke with us and I was lucky enough for him to share a glass of his Basket Press with me

As usual the wagyu was "melt in your mouth" excellent. I finished off with the banana crepes.

Awesome to catch up with new and old members alike, plus the other table of dinner guests that featured two of our own.

Unusual part of the night was hearing another table of guys talking about flying - we heard Qantas a number of times so I had to go and crash that conversation. Seems that by the end of the night their heads were spinning with double status credits, fare buckets, why fly direct when you can connect as well as a master class from potm about using credit cards.

Yes QF WP and potm also spent a bit of time talking AFF stuff with the three guys in the background.
