Can I get benefit of VA Platinum when on a reward booking

I have redeemed sq j booking and am also va platinum. Do i get the benefit of extra 20 kg... thanks muchly. Have not been able to add va ff number to booking so asking.

I redeemed a J booking through VA on SQ with SQ flight number, as well as a paid J ticket on same flight. We both get 40Kg luggage allowance. I am VA platinum and am flying on the paid ticket. My wife is not a FF level with virgin, due family pooling.

Our Trip got Any number of bags up to a total of 40Kg on Singapore as platinum flying paid business. No extra as opposed to a reward no status fyer, my wife, who also got any number of bags upto a total of 40Kg.

Don't know whether still current or not, but I am able to get extra 20kg on SQ J reward with VA gold last year. I just mentioned that at the airport and they just took my VA card, enter the details and allow me to carry 60Kg.
