HiFly has confirmed it's taking a single A380 ex SQ.

Now up on its website
A380 | 9H-MIP - Fleet | Hi Fly

Former 9V-SKC which was owned by Doric.

The other three 9V-SKA, SKB and SKD which are owned by Dr Peters are now parked at Tarbes Airport in France

Will be interesting to see who leases it.

Interesting. Still in a 12F 60J configuration. I wonder if they will carry bedding to convert the F seats to beds, or pax will be limited to generous reclining seats? (In which case J would be better)

First short term lease announced...

Two very short flights for Thomas Cook.
CPH-LCA today and OSL-PMI tomorrow
Flightradar24.com - Live flight tracker!

And reported to Air Austral for a few weeks from late August to cover 787s that will be out for engine replacement

And now off to DI (Norwegian Longhaul) to operate LGW-JFK.

3rd to 13Aug
DI7015 London Gatwick to New York JFK departing 5:05PM arriving 8:05PM
DI7016 New York JFK to London Gatwick departing 11:00PM arriving 11:00AM (+1 day)

Reportedly flights are sold out (despite replacing 787)

Yeah. Norwegian had a sale to correspond with the larger aircraft scheduled to operate in place of the 787. Something like $100 each way IIRC. Pretty easy to fill seats at that price during the middle of summer!

Maybe they leased the bedding as well??

Its not the cost of supporting these seats, but the cost of not doing so. As accountants now run these businesses on the whole its a no brainer.

Interestingly I saw a trip report. They convert the seats to the full flat bed, but they only provide the standard thin blanket! No bedding and no pillow! (or else it was the other way around that they provided a pillow but no blanket, but I think it was the former).

Found the report - blanket but no pillow: Double Beds for Cheap: Flying Norwegian on Hi Fly’s A380
