Hi folks - I tried to book 'business' class on the Dreamliner flight on Thursday, but it says sold out.
A quick look at other Thursday's and they all say sold out.
Reckon this is correct or do they just not sell these seats?
Cheers :)

As far as I am aware, Jetstar no longer publish a fare in Business on SYD-MEL.

I have seen them pop up as QFF awards though..

Thanks all - oh well, there goes that plan to boost my QF credits!!
It was good one - when these first started you could get 40SC for about $230 on a StarClass booking. None of this Max or Plus nonsense.

Not any more.

If it’s a Dreamliner, that means it’s the first leg of an international flight doesn’t it? And leaves from the international terminal?
JQ domestic flights leaving from international terminals seem to come & go; there are a lot of interested parties because the lounges are nicer in the international terminals (especially if you’re QF Platinum); but from my irregular checking, they seem to only occur for a couple of weeks in a row & then disappear. Plus they’re among the most likely to be cancelled, in which case you’ll be punted to an A320 flight (which is probably within 30mins of the original flight you were booked on if it’s SYD-MEL ... and 30mins is 1/4 the average delay a JQ passenger experiences!).

Thanks again all - yes, it is strange. I did this at the end of April and got 40 SCs (from MEL to SYD), but just can't seem to find it any more.
Ahhhh well - I'll keep an eye out each time I am travelling between the two and have some flexibility and see if it comes back.

I'm still seeing Jetstar business class available on some domestic tag flights. E.g. you can book J on JQ11 MEL-OOL on 28/6 for $509 with a Business Max bundle.

I was doing a search of MEL-CHC flights on 7 December and noticed that one of the options was connecting through SYD on the domestic leg of an international flight. Then I had an idea to book just the MEL-SYD tag flight in business class on the same date instead but it didn't even come up as an option in either class, so it looks like it's no longer available to book as a domestic sector?

AIRwin, the JQ flight, with a J cabin, ie, tag flights, needs you to have an orange colour label/sticker on your JQ BP, as a dom pax on an int flight...
so (MEL int - SYD int terminal), even if you dep MEL int terminal, your passport in MEL is not put into the outgoing smartgate reader for outgoing immi, they instead mumble while "looking for their outgoing" to stamp the orange label/sticker on the BP.
The BP is also collected off you in SYD as you come through where the smartgate tix is normally taken off you.
SO your idea to stay in the int terminal, on the secure side, to bypass outgoing immi in SYD T1 won't work.
You will have to go through incoming immi, ie, having your orange label/sticker BP stamped in SYD, as in incoming dom pax on an int flight, and then go through outgoing immi where your passport is processed through outgoing smartgate.
(((***UNLESS the whole orange colour label/sticker system on BP is no longer in use***))), its a pain in the bum way to stay in the secure zone to save time, or to use the lounge longer.
