A Complete, Updated List of Fifth-Freedom Routes

Well it looks like Qantas hasn't learnt from its recent fine. I found it selling QF11/12 as part of a standalone US domestic itinerary on the Qantas website...

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Yes it is. Does that make a difference? (Genuine question - I assume the rule applies to both revenue and award bookings but could be wrong!)

Award ticket makes no difference. If you don't have traffic rights you can't carry passengers.

Out of interest - does it actually let you book the seat? Or is it phantom.

I had no idea either, that's why I just stated the point hoping someone wiser would answer (thanks @MEL_Traveller ).

Still trying to plan our exit flight from Australia to be booked in a few months time for next year.
Is it better to look at a multi flight e.g. Sydney to Hong Kong and then Hong Kong to London as they appear. But Hong Kong only being a transit.
Because sometimes when I put in a flight to London its hard to see any J seats.

Hi all,

Do we know if the China Airlines MEL CHC route is still available? I can’t seem to find any dates at all for it even into next year!

This is the annoying thing about LCCs... they cherry pick routes they think will be popular, and then decide to terminate them. Air Asia did this with London or whatever. Scoot doing this for Hawaii. Norwegian is cutting back. Pimera bankrupt.

There's a short window where LCCs might be good for competition... but long term?
