SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Is the process of getting the vouchers posted upthread? I have 2 x one ways coming up, one has an overnight transit in SIN and the other a 7 day

Last October I was traveling on 2 one ways and they still gave it to me but I had to show the eticket for both tickets.

Will try again in June and see if it still works.

Meets the requirements (if on eligible airlines that is);

E.g. A passenger who has separate e-tickets issued for his itinerary “London – Singapore – Sydney vv” can collect the transit reward either upon his arrival in Singapore from London OR upon his arrival in Singapore back from Sydney.

I've got some real first world concerns troubling me tonight.... I swear I read somewhere about which flights get caviar service and which don't, but I can't find it by searching, despite a decent attempt.

Does anyone know? Also, does anyone recall reading about a menu item on the in-flight menu (not BTC) that had caviar as an accompaniment even though caviar wasn't offered as an appetiser for that flight?

I know 232 SYD to SIN does, as its the only SQ flight out of Sydney we've ever taken.
We are on SQ 8 (SIN-ICN-LAX) and
SQ11 (LAX-NRT-SIN) and
SQ231 (SIN-SYD a 0045 departure so Im guessing they don't offer it?)

25 more sleeps until we get to try the new Suites out of SIN, and the single row F cabin on the 777 out of SIN to US! I haven't been on anything other than a A380 for long haul flights for 7 or 8 years (and that was UA's 747 on the upper deck), so being on the 777 has me excited.

I think it's the sleeper (overnight) and the short haul F flights that don't get caviar. SIN-NRT we didn't get caviar as it was an overnight.

The single row F cabin on the 777 is great. Mrs and I have flown it three times Mel-Sin. It feels very private (not as private as suites), and feels very 'new'.

IIRC lunch and dinner services (long haul) get caviar. Breakfast, brunch and supper do not. I'm pretty sure they used to offer caviar for brunch services at one time but I think that might have been discontinued.

Gday

Not sure what the classification for long haul is but i flew on SQ232 last year which departs at 11am and got caviar. Also flew SIN-HND and did not as it left late at night.

Agree with Tizey re the 777 F.

Pele.

That seems about right. 11am departure would be a lunch menu.

Late night would be supper/breakfast.

Definitely no caviar on this one....though with the flight time, and after TPR indulgence, I was hard pressed getting my BTC lobster thermidor down, let alone caviar :)

They'll have to pour me onto the flight, our car service picks us up at 730 so we will have about 5 hours at Changi. I'd take a nice caviar service over the lobster any day though. Six F flights and no lobster this time after the last couple of let downs.

Yeah I agree, after the caviar on our new suites SQ232,was sensational (as a novice). Prob won’t get the lobster next time, if there is a next time

Sitting in the SIN T3 lounge watching the world cup and hoping for an Aussie goal whilst waiting for our flight home to MEL. Sadly no TPR for us this time.

How's that possible?
