Hello all,

I've got an evening flight from MEL on CX in J. We intend to have dinner @ Bar Pulpo by Movida to start, but then will want to settle in and relax. With the CX lounge being somewhat of a glorified office lobby, which of these other lounges would you say is best?

Qantas International Business Class Lounge
Amex lounge
Plaza premium lounge

with CX being OW, the only other OW Business lounge left is QF yeah?

Any recommendations much appreciated!

God! Is this what this site has come to? Who the bloody hell cares where you start dinner, how ‘bout sitting in departures hall with a chardy and VB. If you think the CX lounge is a glorified office, good luck with the others. Goodness me? Yeah!

If this sort of topic doesn’t interest you, there’s no need to comment, but I might suggest you’re on the wrong site too ;)

To the OP I’d say AMEX seems to be the way to go but I’ve heard those lounges can get busy themselves. At least it’s new.

If you have Priority Pass then the recently opened lounge on the site of the old EK can be available.

I'd say that Aramsay is echoing the thoughts of the vast majority of pax who don't have access to a Lounge...although sometimes things are better left thought of but not typed. Some of us here are spoilt by choice.

As to the OP's question, I've only ever been into the QF Business Class Lounge and that was some time ago. I'm sure the newer Lounges will look more appealing if you are just looking for a comfortable seat, far from the maddening crowd, to digest a great meal.

Thanks for your input, I see where you're coming from. As someone who doesn't fly a great deal, having access to a lounge this time is special - which is why all the questions to pick the best one.
