Hi, this is the first time I have had Krisflyer points to redeem and can't seem to find answer on this - both my husband and myself accrued points via our recent trip and now I want to book flights for both of us on one booking using these points. With QF I would transfer his points to mine and make booking in my name to take advantage of both sets of points. But it doesn't look like SQ offer this. So is there an option part way through booking to imput his Krisflyer number and have his points taken into account in the booking along with mine? We can't have to make separate bookings surely?

Unless you have enough KF points in one account to cover both bookings, then you have to book the flights separately, using points in each other account. You can then ring up afterwards and link the bookings.

If you are booking a return trip, without a stopover (ie >24 hrs at intermediate point) , one thing you can do if you both want to be on the same booking, is to use the points from one account for the outbound flights, and use the points from the other account for the return flights, if no stopover there is no penalty for making 2x one way bookings. (just make sure you carry print out of the bookings in case you need to show return flight).

Note to book someone from another account you need to set them up as a redemption nominee first.

Unless I am doing something wrong I don't get the option of booking a single flight from Singapore to Perth.

The “from” will default to Perth if that is your home airport. Simply overtype that with Singapore and it should come up as an option, then type Perth into “To” and click the “one way” button.

Nope doesn't allow that. Allows me to type in some places but not Singapore.

It won’t allow you to type Singapore in the FROM field if Singapore is already in the TO field.

How embarrassing. You are right. It does allow it, but there are less options and they are more expensive. But thanks for the heads up!

Don’t. I didn’t know you couldn’t transfer points between family members.

Technically, there is actually one way of doing this, but not worthwhile, as it comes at a cost of 1.82 pts = 1 pt. Transfer (@1.35:1) to Velocity then transfer to family member then transfer back to Krisflyer (@1.35:1)!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Now I can't get the booking site to do anything but time out when I try to book. Sigh.

Or just book from Velocity. So no need to transfer back. Set up family pooling with VA. Transfer SQ points. They’ll end up in one VA account. Book flights from that account.

Saying that, booking one ways is probably easiest from SQ accounts.
