30 million Qantas points giveaway

If you're not converting your Woolworths Dollars into Qantas points yet, now's the time. 30 million Qantas points will be evenly split amongst every person who sets up the auto-conversion in May (and keeps it until at least 16 June - one round of converting Woolworths Dollars into points)

My plan for this, if I decide to go ahead with it, would be to wait until May 31 and change my redemption settings to QFF points, provided I didn't have anywhere near 2000 points in my account and wasn't going to be getting bonus points between June 1 and June 16. In this way I wouldn't convert any points over on June 15. The terms say you have to change your redemption settings by a specific date. It doesn't actually have to say you have to have 2000 Woolworths points there by June 15 which is the conversion date. A few days after the conversion date I'll change my setting back to Woolworths dollars.

I have $10 Woolworths dollars at the moment so I'd have to spend these before May 31 or else they'd be converted to QFF points. At the moment my family members have really good offers so we're not using my card at the moment.

I've done this sort of thing in previous promotions where they offer bonus QFF points and I've gotten the bonus points without actually converting any Woolworths points over to QFF points. Hopefully the trick will work again. A share of these points would be great, even if I only got a couple of thousand.

I do have a use for QFF points, I just don't use them for flights.

Me too as I previously didn't have 2,000 points. But now that I do, I question whether it would be worthwhile.

A share of these points would be great, even if I only got a couple of thousand.

QFF say they have nearly 12 million members, a figure they've claimed since early 2017 so perhaps more than 12M now.

Of course not all QFF memberships are active, not all QFF members are members of Woolworths Rewards, not all QFF+WWR members are eligible, and not all eligible QFF+WWR members will participate ... but a couple of thousand points is very optimistic.

The question is will it be more or less than Giveaway: 7 million VFF points shared equally between all entrants?

You can definitely change options.

Indeed, changing options is the only way to participate in the promotion But if you were already on the Qantas Points option you can't participate by changing from QP then back to QP again.

None of our 6 accounts do auto transfer to Qantas and 3 of those accounts have not had a bonus offer in a long time.

So switch to Qantas points late May and switch back to Woolworths dollars late June?

It’s been 11 days since this has ended so was wondering if anyone has got these points yet.
It does say could take up to 30 days to get the points so hopefully will get them soon.
It will be interesting to see how many points we each get.

My understanding is that the points would be credited by 30 June.

I'm interested in the amounts as well. I ended up swapping over 2 family members to points temporarily just to see what happened.

I suspect you'll need to wait until July 16 for points to be credited.

We'll be dishing out an equal portion of 30 million points to all members that opted in to get Qantas Points with Woolworths Rewards between 1 May and 11:59pm 31 May 2018, and remain with this option until 11:59pm 16 June 2018. The points will be credited to members' Frequent Flyer accounts up to 30 days after 16 June 2018^.

Still nothing for us yet.

As far as I can remember you had to change your Woolworths Rewards redemption setting to QFF points transfer by the end of May. You then had to leave the redemption preference there until after June 15. I followed these instructions. There was nothing which said that you had to convert any points on the June 15 bulk conversion date. I didn't have more than 2000 points in the WR account on this date and therefore deliberately didn't convert any points. I checked the terms and conditions. It talked about preference changes rather than having to actually having 2000 points available for conversion.
