I just posted this in another thread:

"
Ive found that card useless. I’m surprised anyone still has it.
I guess it is location dependant, last year with 4 linked memberships and use of bonus point offers we earned over 26000 QFF points, saved $120 in fuel and had direct savings of $110 in December.

That was with splitting basic weekly shopping between Woolworths and Coles (FlyBuys [>$400 saved up there as well])."

It got me to thinking was it worth the effort involved.

At its most basic Woolworth Rewards provides an 0.5% rebate on purchases combined with an approximate 3% fuel discount at a cost of you, as a customer, being profiled. On that it is borderline.

However with the bonus offers that come here and there, then it can be much more worthwhile.

Best offer for the year for me was 2000 points for each BWS purchase of $40+ in the month of June - effectively a $10 rebate.

How did other people do?

Best offers this year have been the ones that are sent after a card hasn't been used for a couple of months
Sometimes cash discounts are offered and sometimes the equivalent points are offered.
week 1 spend $30 at WW for $5 off or 1000 points
week 2 spend $40 at WW for $10 off or 2000 points
week 3 spend $50 at WW for $15 off or 3000 points

Our family members get these several times a year.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I don't use the fuel rebates (no convenient location to use), but 13,000 QF points earned doing my shopping where my preference in our area is WW anyway, is a no brainer, on top of 3pp$ paying via Amex.

My biggest gripe now is that it credits infrequently, monthly would be much better.

The salad days of this card certainly are over for me. I stopped using W/W when they flubbed around with the QF points a few years back, and was surprised how much cheaper Coles was. Late to the party with fly buys, I shudder to think how many Virgin points I let slip away not being a member for the last 20 years.

These days, W/W just seem to offer me bribes to use home delivery - I won't - and it's been so long since I have had one, I can't recall getting any decent reward bonus. As a result, I shop almost exclusively at Coles, just buying those half dozen or so items fortnightly at W/W that Coles don't stock.

It's interesting, we went to coles after WW switched off direct Qantas points, but found the poor range, everything in plastic, and the "non-sale' and non-homebrand items at Coles to end up way more expensive than just doing the whole shop at WW.

We also did aldi for a while, but again savings weren't enough to justify having to do effectively two shops (the second to fill in the missing items)

Woolworths appears to have ceased sending offers to 6 account holders. Mum and dad still stop there as it's convenient and we use the points earned as savings off future shopping. We saved a sizeable amount earlier in the year.

QFF points are useless for me right now but once I have to start paying for daughter they could be useful for award flights.

I've switched my shopping in Brisbane to Flybuys and we only spend $50-$70/week at most andin the past 3 months I have $120 worth of Flybuys dollars which I have not converted to anything yet.

Just did the maths, for 2017 - 107,010 points across the 4 cards we use. This number inflated by the opportunity to buy 54 DJ cards for 46,980 QFF points for furniture we had already purchased and needed to pay for but still a great return and a great contributor to our 2 x 280K J award flights we have booked for later this year

Don't shop at Aldi and find our local Woolies much better than Coles so all in all, it works very well for us especially with the 5% discount on top of the above return

Just got our first one of these for the year. Money off the shop deal!!!!!!

for me, I use the woolworths program for fuel vouchers and bonus points when buying giftcards,

other than that, I dont do huge amounts of grocery shopping, so the targetted ones dont mean much for me,
but the odd 20%-20% return on lower spends I do,

I guess i am losing out on the points, but I since I only get to 2000 points a few times a year, I dont really thinkg abbout

anyone else?

This week I need to spend $50 at Woolworths to get a 3000 point ($15) bonus. Last week it was $40 for 2000 ($10) and the week before $30 for 1000 ($5).

It was spend I'd do anyway - other than bonus points deals such as this targeted one, SWMBO's card gets scanned. ;)

Same offer on one of our cards for the next three weeks, our first offer for more than a month across all cards which has irritated me.

Still, have done extremely well out of Woolies over the last 12-18 months. The targetted offers have been extremely generous and coupled with a couple of gift card promotions that I would have spent anyway (DJ's and Rebel bonus) I think I have actually being doing better than the old scheme

We got 46630 points between us last year. When working in Tas it is over to flybuys.
