Forecast European grape / wine production

Has anyone heard any discussion about possible impact of European grape / wine production after the current long and severe winter? Yes, no grapes or leaves on vines of course, but I wonder if some regions might have had their actual vines killed or affected such that production this coming year might be noticeably affected?

If yes, might Australian grapes be a possible alternative source for some production, and put pressure on Australian grape / wine prices?

I'm far from an expert, but as I understand it the vines are pretty hardy and able to withstand some pretty atrocious conditions during winter. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will shortly put me in my place though

Unsure on Europe production but heard the scorching summer of 17/18 was quite hell on the Aussie (South Australian) vines

My understanding though is that cold temps during winter itself is not so much a problem, what causes more problems is when the cold period happens after bud-burst, e.g. there has been a mild winter and the budding starts early and then there is a period of extreme frosts.
