Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I received a targeted 'secret' rewards email offering extra points on various items. Thing is I buy nearly all those items anyway. Oh well, all adds up I gues.

Nada, nothing, zero, zip. They are my offers. I am clearly either out-of-favour or considered rusted-on.

Same for 6 accounts here. Don't understand how you go from regular offers to nothing. Mum and dad still use one card for the putiful rewards.

We have regularly received bonus points offers for both mine and my Wife's Woolworths Rewards cards. We were away overseas for 7 weeks from late November and returned home just over 4 weeks ago. We continued to receive email offers while we were away but didn't activate any of them since we knew we couldn't use any of them.

Since we returned home we've done a couple of shops with each of our cards but we haven't received any offers for either of our accounts, except for a couple of offers with bonus points for online shopping, which we haven't activated as my Wife prefers to shop in store.

If you're away is it best to activate offers even though you won't be using them? For now I'm not sure if we should continue to alternate our rewards cards so they know we're around or only use one of them for a while. Previously when we received offers to spend so much over so many weeks to receive bonus points my Wife always had a larger target to spend compared to my offers (eg hers may have been to spend over $235 per week for 2,3, or 4 weeks while mine may have been $120) so we of course used the best ones at the time.

Have others found that you don't receive any offers for a while after being away?

Have noticed woolworths getting fairly "smart" about the offers i've been receiving.

When weekly specials are listed (click through from email and login), it lists all the (on sale) items i buy regularly first, prior to the ones i haven't bought before (ie. not alphabetical, or by category etc but listed by the stuff you've bought before first). Similarly, the "secret" bonus point emails are giving me stuff they would be predicting (based on past shopping pattern) that i'd be running out of.

Whereas Coles just send me random useless offers (baby products, other useless stuff i've never bought).

I don't know if being away as much to do with it. My offers come in bursts, and then nothing for a while. Doesn't seem to relate to any travel i am doing....

5 x bonus points for seafood products behind the Deli-Seafood counter - offer for two weeks from today
Yes same here ..... not that I spend much in Woolies on seafood. We have a much better local supplier

Also got the seafood deli offer.

Interesting until recently we never purchased seafood at Woolies. Now we’ve done it a couple of times early in 2018 and then not for a couple of weeks.

Woolies getting smarter with their offerings? Or just coincidence?
