Suburb is based on where you live not where you shop. My suburb doesn't have a Coles or any other Fly Buys earning business.

~20k out of that. Stock availability and the eventual limit killed me
Wow 20,000 of them? You made $45k AUD points??

I only made $890. Was a bit lazy during the night and didnt go to many more Coles.
Was gonna go on the weekend, but the email came on Fri :(

Top 1% Australia, 1% Victoria and 1% in my suburb

I've maxed out my VFF transfer and don't really know what to do with the points. Although I realized if I redeemed flights trough Flybuys travel, I do get SC's so maybe I can do a couple.

Top 1% in Australia, QLD and suburb

30,541 Total Points
4,496 Standard Points
26,045 Bonus Points
50 Status Credits ... still unsure what these mean with Virgin
Top 6%, Suburb, State and Country... really?

On my account 6% of the points were base points and 94% were bonus points
I was in the top 2% for each category

On my partner's account 3% of the points were base points and 97% were bonus points
My partner was in the top 4% for each category

I earned more points but didn't have as high a bonus points rate as some of my transactions were KMart Tyre and Auto, K Mart and Target where it is hard to get a high rate of bonus points compared to base points.

If you combine our totals we would probably be in the top 1% across each location. It's more profitable to have separate accounts.

Based on your data, if all converting to credit dollar, you are actually getting 7.8% off discount (0.96/200/0.6). And your parents are getting 16% off (0.97/200/0.3). This is a big difference regarding discount rate. May I ask how they manage to do that?

The cards are only used when they get a good bonus offer such as 10,000 points for spending $50 at Coles 4 weeks in a row. This ends up being 200 base points and 10,0000 bonus points. This is effectively a 25% discount once I convert the points to flybuys dollars at the conversion of 2000 points for $10. Usually one of the cards gets a good offer each week. Sometimes it's a few weeks between use for the cards so the target for the offers doesn't go up very much. Shopping is spread between Coles, Woolworths and Aldi so the rewards programs think we do a small shop each week and not a large shop. Most of our offers from Flybuys and Woolworths rewards stay around the target of $50 per week. We earned over 100,000 points combined between my account and my partner's account. We make Flybuys and Woolworths Rewards think we only shop there occasionally and so they give us better offers than the people who shop there every week and scan the same card.

Many supermarket loyalty programs reward disloyalty, not loyalty.

Thank you for sharing. I will open up an account for myself. I always use my wife’s card. I should begin to use mine based on your knowledge.

Sometimes the offer amount is in the email subject line. If it looks like I need to spend too much, I still open the email so that Coles register I have viewed the offer but found it unsuitable for my purpose.

Having been an active member of FlyBuys since it first began about twenty years ago, I have found many of these contributions amusing.

FlyBuys was very good when it began as a means to domestic air travel; I bought a lot of groceries from my local Coles, and my children got a few free trips from the scheme.

Then FlyBuys changed totally, and now it's merely a means of amassing - at a considerable loss - Velocity points - and at an even greater loss, KrisFlyerpoints with Singapore Airlines. "Amassing" is not really the word, as the only way these points are really useful is via the double-conversion (with a great loss) to KrisFlyer points.

So far as AFF is concerned I'm a "junior member", but in fact I've been a member for well over thirteen years.

I am proud, QFWP, of never having been a member of that stifling "club" to which you belong.

Just a controller, WP, who stopped your aircraft banging into other aeroplanes populated by the Plats up the front.
