Dear AFFers

As 2017 draws to a close and after reading a number of reports on which airline has the best First/Business/Premium/Economy experience I have been inspired to start a series of polls for our own community. Given our shared love of travel, I'm sure that we are well positioned to give expert opinions.

So just for fun, I'm asking AFFers to vote on their favourite experience in 2017 in the category stated.

Hopefully we can all enjoy this and it might even become a yearly thing.

Enjoy

PS, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your families!!!

Adelaide is a small Lounge and on the wrong side of the Terminal as it has a most uninspiring view.

Brisbane after the change is much more inviting, caters for the increased patronage, the overflow lounge near Gate 50 is now rarely used. But it also suffers from having only minimal viewing of the tarmac

Canberra I have only visited once or twice, as I generally use QF from this port.

Melbourne is nicely set out but suffers slightly from being land-side but I understand this may be changing. Reasonably good viewing of the tarmac.

Perth, not surprisingly being a recent addition, is the one that I like the most, being slightly elevated above the tarmac with sweeping views of the runways.

Sydney - with the best access via the Fast Track, has the benefit of the upstairs section, which is where I used to go, but haven't been up there for at least 6 months - been using the laptop.

How do you see the entry to the lounge be a detriment? Having it's own security after the lounge is useful (be good if Adelaide did that....)

I prefer to be airside in case there are a large number of status pax going through security (as Lounges empty when a number of A320 and 737's are going at the same time). I've been caught a couple of times (last pax failed to board announcements).

The premium exit is also closed on Weekends which can be frustrating. Also, no premium exit for T4 gates

Yes, you are right, it really does rot your socks when you find out you are departing from gate 11 or higher.
