A number of sources have noted that WF will restart regular double daily (albeit with B737) PER-SIN flights in April 2018. Unfortunately for Perth travelers, this will be shortly after Jetstar Asia drops its flights in the same market. Leaving the two QF flights and the direct (but stopping in DPS) JQ flights to support OneWorld frequent flyers in that market. Though MH seems to have committed to a new flight where timings are more user friendly.

Only QF 71 out of the six QF group flights manages to fly at socially acceptable times. So it looks as if I will transit DPS on the way back if I wish to travel and accrue QFF loyalty points.

Happy wandering

Yep - doubling the number of flights on this route doesn't mean things are twice as good. The change by Qatar to an A380 out of Perth on the other hand...

I find that the QF71 timing just wastes the whole day travelling. I prefer to leave early in the morning (ike SQ224, you get the day at your destination) or late in the afternoon (like SQ214, you get the day at your origin).

Travel time preferences are highly individual.

QF71 worked well travelling with a young family, however the 72 timings did not even though I don't mind those timings myself. I know everyone would love to see the 330 back, but I guess this is a case of frequency over capacity to start with (and not wanting to cannibalise the QF9/10 LHR traffic).

If you want to arrive in time to complete a 5 hour drive the same day and not have a five hour red-eye flight, QF in Perth does not seem to have an answer. Unless you overnight in Bali.

On another site, it was noted that
QF077/078 does not operate from 13MAY18 to 09JUN18.

I wonder what other time periods will be "exceptions"

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

It took me a bit to realise that the Nordic carrier, Wideroe, is not the airline about to re-start service between Perth and Singapore.

Danger will have to accept that fingers are not always accurate and proof reading your own work is never a good idea, though I do attempt it. As well the time limit for editing (post#1) has passed....
Rest assured QF is "re-starting" the 2nd flight PER-SIN. Whether the schedule is random or school holiday centric will remain to be seen.
Alas QF's pricing, the disappearance of 3K and the return schedule from SIN means I will have to consider MH's new 2nd flight.

Out of curiosity are you in the south? I'm moving to Albany next year, from Jan!

PIty about the state of their airport at the moment.... At least there are multiple flights a day. It would be my closest airport. All in all a reasonable way to avoid Perth weather.

Send me a PM. You might find me at a moment where I am not wandering
