It looks like I'll be spending quite a lot of time in Canberra over the next few months, so I figured it would be a nice opportunity to visit some more of the wineries around the Canberra region.

Does anyone have any favourites/recommendations?

So far I've only visited a few around Murrumbateman. I particularly liked Eden Road and Murrumbateman Winery.

Clonakilla and Lerida are my two favourites.

I’d add Lark Hill to the list. Some interesting varieties such as Gruner Veltliner, Sangiovese and shiraz-viognier mix. Nice restaurant as well.

Plus Shaw has nice wines and restaurant for lunch.

Some good wineries mentioned already I'd also add McKellar Ridge, Four Winds, Vintners Daughter, Gallagher, Long Tail Gully and Capital Wines. Seek out some Ravensworth at the local Dan's or bws as they don't have a cellar door.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try out some of these over the comig weeks and months :)

Gallagher's and Long Rail Gully are favourites of ours. Greg Gallagher is a great person to have a chat to, he has a long history in the wine business and education in Australia. Another one to try, but the winery is usually only open by appointment, is Malluka, down near Yass. Their Reserve Cab Sav is good value.
