I am asking for some friends who have been offered these flights. Can anyone give advice or pass comment on their experience with RJ ?

They don't fly to SYD, you'd be on a codeshare for at least the first and last hops.

Edit: And just for clarification I mean hop in to Asia or perhaps DXB on QF (maybe QR, I know they have codeshared but not sure currently)

Just inquired and it is QF - SYD-BKK-SYD

I've flown RJ J between TLV - AMM - DOH. It's pretty average. Seats were comfy enough. Food average to inedible. Service average to non-existent. Airport in AMM is decent enough and easy to get around. J lounge is ok. Nothing special but good enough.

I do believe their long haul is better though. If I needed to get to Cairo in J, it would not be my first choice (not taking price into consideration).

Many thanks Daver6

But on the other hand oneworld services to CAI are fairly limited. I've flown RJ plenty of times, out of BKK the food has been ok. Service has been ok. Egyptair offers non-stops to CAI, reasonable product (nothing spectacular) but does the job for a non-stop flight. Connections ex AU are on TG.

Good point about OW. That's one of the places QR no longer flies too, correct?

Easiest and probably QF/EK to DXB and then either RJ or EK to AMM and CAI. Not sure if QF has a codeshare on EK to AMM and CAI.
