NAB don't seem to care. I've done at least 3 NAB cards inside a 12 month period.
I hope this is the case.
I did my first nab in Feb or marched this year and am looking at this one.

I've looked at 4 different links but is there any mention of minimum income?

I think I applied on a 55k last time and got approved

Mine too. Minimum spend achieved 6/12, points posted today, card cancelled today. NAB just keeps giving and NAB's contribution towards our 65K QPts each Finnair J flights next May from Copenhagen to Beijing are much appreciated.

Hi, have just started getting into this game. Just wondering how soon can you re-apply for the card. Doesn't seem to have any exclusion period in the T&Cs?

NAB is one of the few that does not currently have an exclusion period for this card. You may reapply immediately.

But before you do that I'd encourage you to check out other offers here:

Current Credit Card Promotions

Many of which are more generous than this current NAB offer.

Thanks. Just what I thought. I've actually checked all the active deals and really Nab is the only one left that's I'm eligible for.

If by chance you're with NAB for any loans & on their choice package, this offer is an absolute cracker.

Hi All,

Some discussion here on cheapest churned points so posting in here. I'm not that experienced with the credit card churning thing. I am an ANZ black user for many years, and when they cancelled the Amex part of that I went for an Amex Ultimate with 100k bonus around mid-late last year. This has expensive annual fee, but the earn rate of 1.5 is good compared to the ANZ black. I need another 100k or so points for a holiday planned. Is this NAB card a good option for that... or Westpac Altitude? Or something else. I have not churned before other than mentioned above, so probably not excluded from many options. Just looking for 100k+ points for cheapest fees. Any advice appreciated!

Cheers!

The current Westpac offer is certainly cheaper than the NAB offer. I would add that NAB in my experience don't scrutinize applications as much as Westpac. You can find a list of most of the current offers here:

Current Credit Card Promotions

Westpac take ages to credit the points while you can get a very quick turn around with the NAB card

Hi - If I pay Energy Australia using this card, will I accrue points and count towards my spend for the bonus points ? The T&Cs for this card does not seem to exclude it. Not sure if anyone has tried. Thanks.

Yes. Paying an electrical bill is very normal spend on any credit card.

Data points for those interested
  • Most spend was utilities
  • 100,000 points rewarded between inception and the arrival of my first statement - about 3/4 into the period and about 10 calendar days after min spend.
  • I can only assume the annual fee arrives in the 2nd statement period

This card is not in the list that are free if you are a NAB shareholder. Disappointing.

One way to not find out! ;)

I think this might be one of the next cards that I churn. I focus my points earn on velocity/krisflyer as the redemptions suit me more, but the 100,000 qantas points for no annual fee (on the home loan choice package) seems like a hard deal to pass up!

Applied for this card on 2 Jan via a branch. Provided bank statements, payslip, ID etc. Got approved, received my card. Bought a used car over the weekend via a dealer. Spread it over a few cards. Paid 4000 using this card. Tried to pay for something else on Sunday and Monday and was not successful. Suspect it has been blocked. Caught up after hours and was told that is the case. They wanted me to supply payslips , ID etc again. I told them I will chat with the banker that processed my application in the branch. Unfortunately, she is on leave until next week. Am not in a hurry to use this card further, so can wait until she is back next week.

Have anyone had similar experiences?
Do they not attempt to contact me when they block my card?
Can they deny my 100k points?
Is this acceptable practice, can I ask for a annual fee refund?

Interested to hear your thoughts..... Thanks.

Have anyone had similar experiences?

Yes, but with Macquarie. You will find my experiences detailed in this thread:

Macquarie Platinum Card with Qantas Points (40,000 QFF bonus points)

Do they not attempt to contact me when they block my card?

No. They are concerned about potential fraud rather than customer inconvenience.

Although Macquaire in my case did send me an email well after the event.

Can they deny my 100k points?

Yes. You don't qualify for the points unless you've made the spend. If the transaction never went through then you never made the spend.

Is this acceptable practice, can I ask for a annual fee refund?

It's common practice.

I think you can ask for a refund, but don't expect the points as well.
