When checking my Amex statement yesterday I noticed a debit to Veda Advantage 18 days ago for $25. Can't think why I would be paying Veda $25, so lodged a query. Amex came back today that they couldn't find out anything more and have rejected the amount and will credit me.

Now I'm a little concerned that Veda will place a non-payment report on my credit rating which may affect the CC (not Amex) churn I am doing next week.

Didn't you have a short holiday not that long ago? How was it and did puss welcome you back when you got home?

We had almost 2 weeks away in Adelaide and surrounds - loved it. Saw some friends from way back, drove the small roads around the hills and Fleurieu peninsula, visited a few wineries, tasted a lot of wines and brought a few dozen back.

Realised I miss Adelaide a lot. Might have to go and stay a month next year..

The kit kat had escaped my grandchildren and was hiding in her crate, but came rocketing out when she heard our voices. Sat on us and purred loudly until we brought her home. She was one very happy cat.

My niece moved to her first home a couple of months ago. Told her she's welcome to my Christmas tree decoration box that I haven't opened in almost 20yrs.

Wonder what we will find tomorrow. At the time they were expensive so hoping still good/pretty as I remember.

Earlier this week I submitted a missing points claim for my son's school trip..... 5,600 points and 60SC have popped into his account. Bonus! Was pretty sure his CX flights would have been non-earning.

My role has finally been advertised. Now to go through the mind-numbing selection criteria...

Question. How do you go prepare for an interview for the job you already have, knowing that its yours, and the fact that the interviewees will be people you work with, including your manager?

With the same care and diligence that you would apply for any other job you want. That you are currently doing the role and have been promised it doesn't mean you are a 100% certainty. I've seen people fall over at his hurdle previously when an external applicant who wasn't informed that the fix was in, applied and was given an interview to make up the numbers.

They aced the interview and the panel couldn't in good faith recommend their mate to the selection delegate. The risk increases if there is a truly independent panel member who doesn't owe any favours to the work area.

Good advice, thanks.
It's only been advertised internally, which is a big giveaway to everyone at the organisation as to what's going on.
Definitely yes, I'm going into it like it's a new job though. I've got prepared answers for the .last likely questions.

I got my job over the person already in the role....it definitely happens.

After extensive mental analysis I came to the conclusion that the only reason a donut is not 100% fat is because of its sugar coating.
My current cardiologist probably wouldn’t even know what a donut is. He is so slim I think he is missing out on some food groups.

Of course someone may use a chemical analysis of a donut to prove I know way too little about fat content of such a vital food item.

Whenever I get my car serviced, I pick up 2 dozen donuts and drop them off for the guys in the service bay.

Which is why I was at Krispy Kreme, mascot.

On one occasion I was asked to be on a panel for job interviews-I was a locum so really independent.the hospital obviously had a particular candidate in mind.Another candidate was clearly better. They weren't initially going to change their minds but I asked if I could ask one more question of each.It was a nasty question for a job interview. The best candidate aced it the other was totally stumped. So the best candidate got the job and is doing great things such as attracting other physicians so I no longer have a role there.

Spot of Christmas shopping last night. Took advantage of ‘on special’ now, a Lindt 50% off Santa hat I stuffed carefully to get 870g for $17.50. Then, T2 tea 3 for 2 boxes.
