Qantas displaying LGBT livery - so where is equality?

Feel really offended now with recent airline move with rainbow colored tail.
I do respect other people belives and veiws, but seriously - why public transport opeator would openly support one kind of its customers and not the others?
Espesially being national carrier.... Bad, bad move for such a small airline to damge so hard its international reputation. I bet no one aircraft in this livrey will ever make it overseas.

So painting one or two rainbows on a tail might upset bigots? I think true equality demands that half, and precisely half of all Qantas planes are painted in rainbows, surely. Or, paint one side of the plane rainbow and one side storm clouds, lightening and miserable conditions generally. It's only fair.

QF have long supported this cause, I am yet to see any substantial damage to their reputation.

QPJ spent a period wearing the rainbow Roo colours, which did go international and with no condemnation, so I’m not sure your point has much merit to it.

I had a bit of a chuckle to some of the responses on the Qantas Facebook page to a handful of people who supposedly won’t fly Qantas as a result of the company’s stance on Marriage Equality.
The one that got the biggest laugh from me was:

“ Enjoy carpooling across the country, as Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar and Tiger all support marriage Equality.”

Qantas have taken a bold and prolific stance on Marriage Equality for quite sometime, they to deserve to celebrate Australia’s emphatic result today as one of Australia’s leading corporate supporters of the campaign.

We flew on QPJ from HNL-SYD

I highly doubt more than a couple people on our flight would have noticed let alone cared

This isn't correct. They are a company that is listed on the stock exchange.

Although, as a share holder, I do think that this is something that the business should not be involved in at all. I careless whether the business has a social conscious or not. What I care about is profitability.

It doesn't damage the airline at all. In fact it does the opposite and celebrates a majority view in the Australian pollution.

Given that rational discussion of the recent national political plebiscite and related topics are banned on this forum under political rules, why is such biased and obviously bigoted rubbish like this allowed to be posted?
