Just an update to this. A couple of recent POUGs credited as J to QFF.
There is some decent value on Club Europe on some routes. Just don’t expect much from the catering and you won’t be disappointed

One of the better value POUG/AUP's is on the domestic routes in fact.

Lost my preselected exit row seats on MAD-LHR the other week because BA decided they could sell 15 rows of J!

They were particularly good for QF SCs before 'Simpler & Fairer (TM)' ☹️

I flew BA Club Europe LCY-GLA last week. BA CityFlyer uses Embraer E-190s out of London City, so it's a comfortable seat 2+2 across (it's the same seat back in Y too of course). Food and drink were pretty tasty and the service was grand.

I booked it thus as at the time it was only a little more £ than Y and having just arrived from NZ/Oz on a QF A380 with several bags I needed the extra baggage allowance, and I wanted the 40 QFF SC for a UK domestic J flight.

Very pleasant, would fly again.

Apparently my standards are lower than Tony's :)

I just use tube+DLR, which took an hour and a half this time. Fastest route is probably LHR/Green Park/Canning Town/LCY, though there's a lot of walking through tunnels when changing at Green Park. If I hadn't been hoping to get on an earlier flight at LCY I probably would have taken a slightly slower route with nicer interchanges. Sadly appearing at LCY at 16:30 with two bags to check was too late for them to want to put me on the 17:00 flight.

For me, this tube journey is fine if a bit tedious. Usually I break it in two by meeting London friends for a drink in the middle.
