Are you in the 1%?

So, for those VA WP's who attained 1%, do we now refer to them as WP1 ?

Well it seems I've been 'up in the air' for 120,727kms, flown around the world 3 times and that means I'm in the 1% club :)

regarding some stats- i know ive been to Rockhampton more then 13 times within the last 12 months- 13 times would be just this year. And i know ive been on more then 60 VA metal and ticketed flights in the last 12 months.

A bit bizarre here.

I'm top 8%, 16 flights last 12 months (Probably correct probably as i've retained WP mainly through international partners).

Apparently my 1st flight was "MELBOURNE TO LOS ANGELES IN MARCH 2012" which wasn't even my first VA flight to Los Angeles let alone my first VA flight. I'd been gold/platinum for about 4 or 5 years at that point. Odd to guess how they came up with that?

In top 3% - got a free upgrade to Business for a flight in 5 weeks.

I didn't get a percentage - only 9 flights in the last 12 month which saw me soft land to gold. But I still got a free upgrade on next week's flight. (Not sure what my husband who *was* sitting next to me will think of that!)

I was 3% but it congratulated me on my two visits this year to somewhere I’ve flown to on VA three times alone in two months, so don’t exactly trust the math.

I got the email as well and initially thought, that's clever marketing - until I hit the errors.

HEY QF WP,

THINGS HAVE REALLY BEEN LOOKING UP SINCE YOU JOINED US 2,246 DAYS AGO.

You got that right: Calculate Duration Between Two Dates – Results

YOU FIRST TOOK OFF
ON A FLIGHT FROM
Brisbane TO Adelaide
IN January 2013.

(on flight VA1384 in case
you were wondering)

Agree that it seems to have been only searching for flights since the Navitaire to Sabre GDS rollover. as my first flight was DJ908 on 15 Nov 2011. As fate would have it, the flight above (VA1384) was my first flight as a Platinum.

Been up in the air for 18 sectors travelling 19,163kms over last 12 months and top 10%. No huge surprise there, as Plats and Gold will make up the top 10%.

Getting the information right means a lot to us VA. There isn't brand damage from the error, but certainly a lot of us are miffed that they can't have done any beta testing with a willing sample group. It just adds to your poor websites et al.

10% for me, but all of the info is out of whack

No email here. Flight tracker says 59,622km on VA metal in last 12 months. I’d love a free upgrade added to the account though if you are reading this Mr Branson...

Yeah no email for me either. Sitting on 20 eligible sectors no idea of KMs travelled. I dont have a flight booked though, so maybe thats why i haven't received.

I don't think future flights booked will come into the calculations they have done - it's looking in the past 12 months (and they've used my most recent flights last week in some of their calculations but not all, now that I check as I've done 20 sectors in the past 12 months, yet the last 2 sectors (BNE/MEL/BNE) must have been included to say that my most visited city was MEL - strange indeed). I don't have any flights booked either, yet I got an email.

1% - I am honestly surprised by this. I had the impression 1%ers rack up >100k / year. Didn't get an upgrade though, only 30% off. Pretty sure they consider revenue for the Upgrade. I almost always buy the cheapest fare, never paid for J in VA.

I have been wheels up 54 times and out of those, 43 on the 738. I like reading stats like this, I think I have 7 on A332, handful on E190 and 1x 77W I think.
