Vinomofo Wine Deals

That's a good point RB, I've just followed your advice and will see where it ends up, I guess I naively assumed it would keep alerting you to new unread posts to threads via email but I was probaly mistaken, fingers crossed....thanks!
Hi Whining&dining and RB; I am always logged in but its still hit and miss especially on my mobile phone which is also always logged in.VM sale of $15 wines was very poor in range this FRI/SAT. Happy to sit and wait. Cheers Rug

Yes I'd have to agree with you there Rug, nothing really leapt out at me despite the lower price range, it takes quite a lot for me to hit the boom button these days....

Pretty happy with mine but as I've always said, this wine caper's a very personal thing, quite surprised though!
Yeah, I had a dozen of the '13 blend and the '15 cabernet, the '15 had better reviews so I kept them and offloaded a lot of the '13. After drinking a few bottles I wish I had done the reverse...

I think it's the only issue with on-line wine buying (which, I must admit is the only way I buy these days) as you read about a wine being amazing (talking professional reviews here) and when your dozen lands on the doorstep it can be mediocre or downright nasty! I've still got a box of wine sitting near my front door waiting to go back to Cellarmasters and it must be about a month ago that I rang them still, I've had some bargains too.... :D

Hi Rug, I totally understand your concerns, I still am receiving spasmodic alerts via email for the various threads I'm watching with the consequence that I haven't been alerted to the Dan Murphy thread since September 21st and there have been 233 replies (posts #9454 to #9687), fed up with this I've delved yet deeper into the bowels of the new forum and think I've finally cracked the enigma code! If you navigate your way through to "All watched threads" via the menu at top of page that follows on from "Home...." you can check all the boxes to threads you're watching and then at the bottom "With selected" drop-down menu box click on "Enable email notification" then hit "Go" button next to it. I've taken a screenshot of the page in case it makes it clearer but can post link if it still isn't clear, the boxes appear unchecked in screenshot after activation but you can see "Email" in the first column. I look forward to having my inbox bombarded (said the actress to the bishop)....

I just got a second email from VM - seems to be exactly the same content as the first but a different subject line?

i got a case of the original (2011?) in a lucky dip promotion from the Fo way back and quaffed my way through 6-8 pretty quickly but then left a couple alone, more incidental than anything, and they have been very nice so i think the quality is there, at least it was in the original batch.
