A350 departing Brisbane from mid October!

Singapore have announced today that they will fly a daily A350 to and from Brisbane from October 16.

By mid-January, there will be THREE daily A350's in to and out of Brisbane!!

I'm looking forward to having PE from Brisbane!

Definitely an upgrade for those of us in Brisbane. The 330s were looking very tired as well as having the regional seating in J.

Bugger, I'm booked on SQ266 next year in J and i guess that will still be the [FONT=&quot]Boeing 777-200 / 200ER. But atleast that does still have flat beds. Although the dated version.[/FONT]

I've been doing some searching (just for interests sake at this stage) for PE all the way to Europe and when I try searches it only shows Economy for SIN-EU sectors and PE for BNE-SIN sectors. If I do a search just SIN-EU return the PE availability is there so that's not the issue.

In the flight lists it looks as though it's a PE booking and shows the applicable prices but when selecting a flight it changes to a lower price and PE only on BNE-SIN legs.

Tried various dates, destinations and even different browsers and the app and all the same.

I found the same, so had to book through a TA. Got a great price for BNE-SIN-ZRH/AMS-SIN-BNE. 3xA350, 1xA380.

I find SQ website is diabolical for Premium Economy fares! I recently ended up booking BNE-SIN-HKG-SIN-BNE through the search results from Skyscanner....

We have just booked PE for a family member and J for us to Europe next year. Some flights out of Italy (FCO and MXP) and SIN do not have PE on the new A350s, only economy and J.
So the family member is flying home on a different flight than us due to only having PE for half the flight (MXP-SIN) or none...but it was worth it for her as the Y class was dearer than PE for that leg.

All SQ A350's are 3-class and have PE. Did you book on the SQ website? I tried to book PE on the website and it would put me into Y on the A350. I just ended up booking through a TA to get PE on all legs.

Not sure I'd be so excited about gaining the A350.

Pros - Gaining premium economy seats (that generally cost big $$$), better in flight entertainment, better air, flat business seats (offset by cons)
Cons - Business and economy seats have been 'enhanced' in terms of space (downgrade from previous generation A380 and 777-300), and just as noisy as previous generation aircraft, smaller aircraft feels less spacious inside (could also be a pro?)

Business seats are basically the same on the a350 than on the A380 and 77W (and refurbed 773/772), the Y seats are different to the A380 but are the same as the new and refurbished 77W. The PE seats on the A350 are only .5" smaller than A380/77W, same pitch though.

Apparently there are a few flights Sin-BNE that only have J and Y class as I was trying to book the family member on the same flight as ours as our flights are closed and unable to be changed. (coming from MXP). I called back twice and was told this for PE by two different agents at SQ. It would be great if they were wrong so I can change her flight to ours.

Which flights were you looking at? 3 of the 4 daily flights will be operated by A350 (and all A350's have PE, so it's odd that they just wouldn't sell it on particular flights).

I'm booked on SQ256 and 245, both in PE. The 245 aircraft turns back to SIN as 246 and the 256 aircraft is operated to BNE as 235. 236 and 255 will also be A350 with PE. The only flight to not have PE is 266/265.

265 will probably stay as a 772, or go to A330, either way both are J/Y only.

I had trouble booking BNE-Europe and back all the way in PE on the SQ website. I suggest perhaps going onto Skyscanner and doing a search for MXP-BNE in PE, finding the SQ option and then seeing what it gives you. It's possible that 245 (the 9:40am flight) may be full in PE? I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to change the SIN-BNE flight. If you happen to call SQ again ask to speak to a supervisor to see what they can do.
