Not in this thread I believe.

We need an ICAC review on our weather bureau. Today it was 29 ish. Beautiful. Fine and mild for tonight’s footy final. Take a jacket as it might get coolish. No mention whatsoever of rain. For a few days now. And - it’s raining!
And website still says zero chance of rain tonight. They can’t even describe it now, let alone predict it. Science?

Melbourne's main weather radar is offline till and I noticed the backup at Broadmedows isn't as accurate. I remember my old high school biology complain about the lack of/substandard radars out west in WA which would help with weather forecast in SA and VIC.

Go Storm!

Crows really are the goods. The intro tonight going through all their trials of the last couple of years (murder of coach and then death by cancer of their second coach during the playing season, let alone a bunch of other stuff) was extremely moving.

I use a shredder at home but found this interesting

Identity Theft Protection Stamp
be more effort than a shredder. Mine takes 50 pages, so you can just load it and go and do something else. It does tend to stop if it hits a thick piece of paper, which you then need to,feed in separately, but still less labour intensive than that. Still for that price it's not a bad idea.

While I can see the idea behind that, isn't that why they have shredders that cross cut as well straight cut. I know anyone with enough time could still probably piece things back together, but if document security is an issue that's always the fireplace or a dustbin and gas :p

Also, do all posts now count towards your total?

Best place to ask these questions is not an off-topic thread but the Suggestions and Feedback forum. However, to answer your question, since the migration posts in this forum have counted towards user totals, even though previously this forum did not count to a users total. This error has now been corrected.

...or tearing off the ID components (including bar codes on side of pages) and putting them in the compost.

Somewhat more alarming is the recent string of reports about "Govt-level" spyware/trojans being installed via ISPs.

Last week I shampoo'd cleaned all our carpets.

My husband and his photo mates went to the mountains today and I just told him if he walked in this house with those boots on, hes a dead man.

Hubby said the mud is all dry now.... funeral will be at 3 :)

Yes, I know how you feel ! M house is immaculate while Ron is working away :D

Whats the saying - you cant live with them ............

Went to pick up my car after work yesterday to find they'd done a book service, but hadn't actually fixed the problem that was the reason for me booking it in in the first place. They noted that brake shudder was detected and I should get it fixed next service. Pointed out that it had been shuddering for months and that was the reason I'd bought it in (and I'd told them when I dropped it off)....quick thinking on behalf of the lady behind the desk, she suggested I keep the loan car all weekend and they'd get it done by lunch time Monday. First time I've had any issues with my servicing, was a definite head:wall situation...

Good recovery by front desk though!

Putting my head in my hands and asking why it wasn't done given I'd booked it in for that definitely put her on the spot. Impressed that she very quickly offered the option of keeping the loan car (brand new CX3 with 500km on it) so they could finish mine off. Why it wasn't done in the fist place though....

Yes, though nice to have the loan car, it is not your own and you were expecting it back when you went to pick it up. It does mean extra running around etc.
