I bought 5x $250 cards yesterday. They have all just been declined at the ATO (initially for $249.50 (so $250 after the fee)) and then for $100 in the hope that might have made a difference). I've just successfully used 3 of them at my health insurer - so there doesn't seem to be anything wrong...

Worryingly I just had 5 of the Coles $100 Mastercards (purple) (bought in the promo about 7 weeks ago) declined at the ATO. FWIW it's been more than 6 months since I last paid with one at the ATO. They hadn't been hacked because they all went through at my health insurer and energy company.
