[fare gone] Yangon to New York, London etc. R/T in Business under $850

Re: [fare gone] Yangon to New York, London etc. R/T in C < $800 Sadly you are correct. I actuality know someone in this position right now (it does not help that it is the leading article on AFF), but sadly there are a lot of newbies out there that don't necessarily understand the cause and...

[fare gone] Yangon to New York, London etc. R/T in Business under $850

Re: [fare gone] Yangon to New York, London etc. R/T in C < $800 It does not matter. I would never call regardless, as you don't know how many people are mid travel erc. You highlighting it to the airline can strand others across globe who have travelled a lot further than Oz, sometimes mid...

[fare gone] Yangon to New York, London etc. R/T in Business under $850

Re: [fare gone] Yangon to New York, London etc. R/T in C < $800 Never ever ever call any airline re a mistake fare. It is effectively the fastest way to shut the thing down. Whilst I realise that this fare is now gone, alerting carriers even to put in an FF number is a big no no. Also...

    A Platinum Flight for $1400

I am not referring to that. The AA booking engine often displays fares which it cannot actually sell you and these bomb out after you have handed across your card details. I'm not referring to the issues in getting the engine to accept an Australian card.

    A Platinum Flight for $1400

Be aware that whilst the AA system will often show these flight options, when you actually go through with the purchase it will often bomb out (after you have given your card number). With that in mind, beware.

Qantas are to enforce the 4 segment rule for status!

I have to completely agree with this philosophy, although I can't see it happening. I would also be happy for QF to drop the high earning CC rates so that frequent flyers rather than frequent buyers can earn and redeem flights.

    MEL-SYD in J earns 11097 miles

But that means flying in EK J which from what I have heard is pretty average. EK F on the other hand (if on the 345) is meant to be top notch although a little tacky - e.g. If you flying F, why would you want to pour your own drinks??

    Unusual Request in Cathay J

Maybe there were not a large number of Emeralds? CX seems to be more than happy to upgrade OW Emeralds when they are full. I know as I have have had this happen a few times and my partner on even more occasions.

    London to Hong Kong

Be aware that whilst HKG is a JSA port, you don't get full miles when you use BA on discount economy fares. If your going to MEL or SYD, QF 30 is quite good because you can go to bed shortly after landing when you get to Australia. The evening BA departures mean you have to connect to a QF...

    Op Ups from N/O/Q

Like with other WPs I have never had an international op-up (and I mainly fly international these days), but domestic happens occasionally. I agree with NM. Save money and use what you save to pay for WTP, J and F. That certainly what I do.

    Europe Status Credit earn

Also don't forget that BA fly into two of Milan's airports. MXP and LIN.

    RTW Status Credits

Remember that there are more than 2 alliances. Dare I say it, but Scary Team could also benefit from an Australian partner. Also remember that DJ whilst affiliated with VS is not part owned by SQ as is VS.
