Have started using Krisflyer Spree a bit more. Just got an email telling me points have been posted for a purchase I made with an Australian retailer 5 months ago. Pretty crazy how long it takes with some merchants. But better late than never.

Totally agree. It was a bit of a cop out and I felt like saying, well of course you don't get many Jakarta bookings.

Ok so I called them and they gave me some interesting information. Apparently the reason Jakarta does not appear as a bookable option on the website is due to a large amount of fraudulent activity. I wonder if there are other destinations like this. I hear Lagos and Mogadishu are nice this time...

I don't think that is the issue though. Even when I search Jakarta for hotels with no dates selected, the search field does not yield any results. It is like the city does not exist or Amex does not let you book anything there.

I have some travel credit that's about to expire and wanted to look into flights to Jakarta. The Amex travel centre website is not giving me any resilts for Jakarta though with Melbourne as the point of departure. Anyone else having this issue?

I was speaking to them yesterday and they warned me that a charge would be incurred if they were to book on my behalf. I just explained that I was unable to do it on their website and the reasons why and they waived the charge. So I would call up and and explain your situation.
