Hopefully things will get back to normal now - the cold snap has come to an end. I suspect LHR was just not prepared for nearly a week of sub zero temperatures.

BA 16 scheduled for the 12th Dec delayed for 15 hours - it left at 8:07 on the 13th. The inbound aircraft, BA15, was delayed leaving LHR, an issue at the gate that could not be fixed quickly according to the BA16 crew. EU261 submitted and awaiting to see how BA plays it - will be an expensive...

BA is a fickle mistress

It is not cut and dried, my experience has been positive - if it says you will earn in MMB that has typically happened. That said I flew LHR-SYD in Sep as an award in F and it earned both TP's and Avios despite MMB saying 0 and 0. BA's systems are not great! Be prepared to be disappointed and...

Given the way the flight crew handled this and the subsequent Air France denials of responsibility I will continue to keep my distance from Air France.

One for the teenagers here. Can anyone remember a 1983 mini series called The Dismissal? (It is a dramatisation of the 1975 constitutional crisis.) I found it on usenet and watched it on a flight over the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

It is difficult to comment because everyone's circumstances are different. I was traveling as much as 6 times a year between Australia and the UK and then into Europe and also the US. I got a lot of benefits - particularly in the US where I was, on several occasions, treated like an AA Concierge...

Not sure nuts are a thing on BA at the moment. They were not a part of the pre or post take off on my flight from JFL last week. They do appetisers after take off.
