Hi My (Gold) wife & son flew out on the 2.50am flight from BNE to Dubai this morning on QF tickets - we had selected seats weeks ago. When she checked in at airport the seats had been changed to way down the back and was told either (or both) you didnt pay for seats & EK passengers get priority...

Cool, add the flights on the other 11 OW carriers and on Jetstar . Half of the flights i took in 12 months to regain Platinum status were on Jetstar

What if Qantas did release more award seats, and the demand for those seats is so high that they're snapped up quickly and therefore most folks never notice any additional inventory showing online? Looking the moment they are supposedly released - nothing . I dont disagree with your ideas...

Was able to book 4 J class on QF1 three weeks ago for october 2020 - on the first day of release at 11am - BUT can i can get anything now at all on QF metal back - NO - not 2 seats nothing - with WP status
