Seems this may have kicked in early. Went to select row 4 using T-80 today (15 April) for a domestic 737 flight and as WP was greeted by a row of green seats at $35.
Thought I would share my recent experience with adding three flights to a previously ticketed OWA J ticket over the course of two days.
Call 1 (Fiji): Flights confirmed as available and added to itinerary. Unable to calculate taxes. Call back promised.
Call 2 (Fiji): Call back advised having...
Thank you djkelly69, yes that is one good option.
Would you or anyone have any routing suggestions with J availability, departing London on 5 July 2023 to Hong Kong with any possible connection...?
Amongst all the 'suboptimal' experiences here, I had an excellent experience booking a OneWorld J ticket for 2, departing Adelaide in June 2023. After a few weeks of online researching, I spent an hour on the phone working through the process with a very helpful and knowledgeable Hobart agent...
That's amazing dylarr. Great it finally worked out. Persistence.
For my situation above, I eventually lodged a formal complaint with MH in July, and received the remaining refund in August....6 months after the initial lodgement.
At the time, there was a similar page to: Malaysia Airlines Extends Booking and Travel Flexibility
It had all the different fare rules / fare types. It helped that Malaysia had put up a restriction that did not actually allow us to fly into their country.
I've been successful in obtaining refunds except for one.
What I'd like to know is how long have people waited for refunds?
In March I was advised 6 weeks, then in April 3 months. Now in June, it's 3 more months.
Have spoken with managers who have phoned the finance department, and its'.....in...
That's a really good experience onetonnerodeo, and probably goes against Kangol's theory.
What I am still trying to find out from this forum is the possibilities with re-booking/refunding/extending the end date for the remaining part of the ticket considering the current limitations in travel...
Thanks Kangol, but I don't think it has been discussed.
Flights on this ticket had already been cancelled.
I'm looking at the current restrictions in rebooking within the date range of the ticket.
I was part way through a OWA J ticket, divided into two separate trips separated by many months. Unfortunately, after the first part, I had to cancel the second part of the trip.
I planned to subsequently rebook the second part using the same routing within the 12 month date limitation, as...
ThanksMEL_Traveller. I think it is not so much the QANTAS 12 month limitation (which has been established in this thread to not apply) but ACA's limitation of being limited to deal with claims within the last 12 months.
I had the same experience with my recent 280k booking that was ticketed within the hour straight after I was off the phone - Hobart call centre I think. CSA was worried about QR flights dropping off. He said my credit card would be charged immediately, ticket received within the hour, then...
