I don't know about a false start, when they first announced PER-SIN flights my wife & I jumped on the bandwagon and got the $19+tax return flights. The arrival time into Singapore is horrid but it saved us over a grand. I can live with that.

Well I duly got the $195 fee on my first statement too. I just rang the guy - and I'd love to know where in the world he was because it was a really strange accent that defied identification - and he reversed it on the spot. He also told me that my card hadn't been activated, which was bizarre...

Damn but those Earth cards are ugly. The mastercard is a weird horrible plasticky pale blue and the amex is only marginally better with a dark purple/grape colour.

See my post earlier about this - it's relevant to the Earth+. My wife & I decided to go with the Earth+ rather than the standard Earth because the insurance suited our needs. It's certainly generally not as comprehensive or offers as much compensation as a standalone policy, but for our needs...

Mine arrived yesterday, just about dead on the advertised 10 working days timeframe (which is fine by me). Interestingly they didn't contact my workplace to verify any details, but then again I didn't get a large credit limit either, not that I wanted one. I'll certainly be keeping my eye out...

Update: it turns out the rellies will be flying a combination of BA and Qantas. Itinerary is LHR-HKG-SIN-PER-BNE-AKL-SIN-LHR or similar, don't care about the points for the flights for themselves and are happy to pass them on, so that should be a nice little earner :)
