    QF A330 in-flight entertainment problems

Allegedly BA (despite the extensive and well-documented QF issues) have recently installed RC AVOD systems and low-and-behold they are experiencing issues. The suggestion that RC warned QF and QF still went ahead sounds dubious. Even if it were factual this still reflects poorly on RC who should...

Yes that is true and always better than mixing with the English!

I am glad you enjoyed it. Malt whiskey is just so individualistic. Funnily enough I recently learnt one of the biggest markets for Malt whiskey is France - they don't drink Cognac anymore (the biggest market is asia). I don't know why but I find the thought of a French person sitting down to a...

Do you take any of the following to prevent DVT?; Aspirin (thins the blood) Fish Oil (makes blood less sticky) Wine in moderation (also thins the blood)

You should try Laphroaig next. Smells like coal tar and drinks like smoke ash. Fabulous stuff. Actually I am surprised the earlier poster didn't like Chivas as a scotch style because of all the scotch's this one has a heart of Islay, whereas JW is much more highland.

If you like your Czech beer and haven't tried Trumer Pils you are in for a BIG treat. Hand crafted for well over a century. If you like Pilsner Urquell et all this is even better!!! They have a distributor in Australia who can probably tell you where to get some of the slinky glassware featured...

Most of those scotches are unheard of to most customers. Chivas regal and JW Black are the most successful 'premium scotches' because they appeal to a broad range of customer tastes. When loadings dictate one choice then this is important. My father used to take outstanding bottles of Islay malt...

What irritates you most while flying?

Perhaps if you were sittin in the Champagen bar next to the Ritz in London or at a bar in Edinburgh that specialised in a range of fine and rare malt whiskeys, but the view that an airline could possibly cater for those who appreciate artisan scotch/malt as well as those who might appreciate...

What irritates you most while flying?

Agree that there are some fantastic malts, including those you mention, but the proportion of people who would notice the condierable extra spend that would be required would be very samll, indeed like artisanal Chamoagens which can also be fantastic and better than the mainstream names such as...

Poor quality Scotch - Chivas Regal in J and 18yo Chivas in F- I don't thinks so.

    Muscat in J

Actually this was replaced in J with Seppelt DP 63. Wine writer Tim White wrote an article where he reckons drinking this was one of his finest airline drinking experiences. I agree. Terrific with some blue cheese and walnut and prune log.

    Muscat in J

On occasion Taylor's St Andrews Cab or Shiraz in J international, Taylo's Cab (with some age) in J dom and Taylors Promised Land in 187ml Economy Cab/Merlot or Cab/Shiraz, all sound wines, the promised land even took out a trophy in Decanter World Wine Awards last year (terrific value)...

    Muscat in J

In J the Muscat is Seppelt DP63 Rutherglen Muscat available along with some excellent Sherry's in the range for a song (Dan Murphy's seem to have them all). I beleive this wine, made from decades old base material sells for around $20 which is laughable. In terms of quality vs price these...
