Later this month I need to take a couple of domestic Y flights in Chile, plus a flight to Peru and I'm wondering whether to spend a few dollars more to fly with LATAM. Will my Qantas Gold get me into the domestic/international lounge when flying LATAM Y?
Thanks in advance
You may be surprised to know the savings that can be made by bringing select products back duty free. A few months back I returned with 3 bottles of Italian Barolo and saved several hundred dollars by purchasing in Italy. I'll do the same again next month.
Not everyone is lugging Jim Beam.
KUL - MNL; MNL - MEL. I think it was an A321.
This year I've been fortunate enough to fly J on SQ 777 & A350, QR 773 (both Qsuites and the older 2x2, QF A330 and the PR seat was not as good as any of them but was perfectly acceptable to me at this price. Certainly not horrid.
YMMV
After vanishing for a few months this J fare has resurfaced. The prices from KUL - MEL/BNE/SYD are ~$1,450 from around February onward. Even this one for $1,866 over the busy Xmas / New Year period is cheaper than SQ Y (over $2K) on the same dates.
I flew this earlier in the year and even...
During the pandemic LATAM almost went belly up. There luck doesn't seem to be improving.

How did you acquire your Avios? My QFF points come from a combination of flying and CC sign up bonuses, in the case of the latter, the cost of obtaining the QFF points was very low.
Comparing Avios to QFF points is not comparing apples with apples because Avios are difficult to earn for most...
I was only looking from Europe to Australia so I'm not entirely sure. From experience, it's usually easier to find classic rewards heading to Australia rather than from. When I snagged my QR flight I did notice that there was a ton of CX J flights from multiple cities in Europe to Australia...
Not sure if this is entirely relevant because I only read 2 pages back... I managed to book a classic reward CDG - MEL in QR J for late Feb 23. No P1 here, just a lowly gold. Booked via the Qantas website.
When I booked last week there was still J flights available late Feb from both CDG & BCN...
It does include identity documents though, such as passports of drivers licenses. I feel uncomfortable having this info out there due to the possibility of identity theft.
To receive the 60,000 point you need to have activated the service by the 17th. If your account has been activated you should have an email from Optus to indicate that it's active.
