Question Travel Insurance with pre existing conditions -

I have a policy with NIB as i am 73 and had a cardiac infarction about 9 years ago. I do have my normal family health cover with them so it may be a factor. Really good to deal with and rates are very good. We have a trip in June to August this year which has the hotels fully booked and paid for...

Qantas group to cut all International routes and stand down two thirds of its staff

I do not disagree dajop but the point is that we should demand better customer treatment. Hav a look at the posts pointing at some very angry customer that should never be. The money should not be given lightly without a quid pro quo.

Qantas group to cut all International routes and stand down two thirds of its staff

Worth a read. By Tim Wu The New York Times. 16/3/2020 Don’t Feel Sorry for the Airlines Before providing them any assistance, we must demand that they change how they treat their customers and employees. For American Airlines, the nation’s largest airline, the mid to late 2010s were what the...

Qantas group to cut all International routes and stand down two thirds of its staff

I do not have much love of public companies that manipulate their accounting and public image and blatantly pay their senior management obscene amounts of shareholder funds. I have been in business for more than 40 years and can always hold my head high knowing that I have treated my customers...

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to 2019 n-CoV (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

Have done thanks for the thought though. I have top level with NIB but they covered themselves, as usual. The should not be allowed to cherry pick. If they take your money then all risks should be covered. It may cost more but so be it. Interestingly, I did cancel Beijing in February and the...

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to 2019 n-CoV (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

Being a cheapskate, I usually save a couple of bob booking the non refundable accomodation. This could cost me $7k if I need to cancel my upcoming RTW trip commencing in June. Guess what I will be booking in future?

Hotels booked through third party web sites, (wotif)

There is no free lunch! I get one, so called “Free Night” with every ten bookings, roughly 10% discount by using Bookings.com but I recon it must be factored in somehow.

Qantas law unto themselves - don't waste your time with ACA complaint

I thought that a thread was in fact about an isolated thought/idea/problem/complaint etc. The OP was quite a strong and reasonable complaint which the member attempted to be resolved in a reasonable fashion and it was not dealt with by the compay at the time and with subsequent following...

Qantas law unto themselves - don't waste your time with ACA complaint

Come on, give Legoman a break. The guy does this flight every week or so, he knows the system inside out on his particular route. I think he is quite capable of responding to the unjust criticism himself but I find it a poor form for members who have been around for a long time to take...

Qantas law unto themselves - don't waste your time with ACA complaint

Legoman, your predicament is just another example of the arrogance of this multinational with near monopoly power. It is the reason the US Antitrust laws also referred to as competition laws, are statutes developed by the U.S. government to protect consumers from predatory business practices...

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Respiratory illness - Effect on Travel

Well, my first transit upcoming in June is KL. I have heard nothing in respect to the corvd 19 in KL so we can only assume that there is no problem there rather than poor reporting or lack of screening. It is mysteraly quiet when compared to Singapore who do seem to be dilligent in advising the...

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to 2019 n-CoV (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

Received a further apology from QFF who are adamant that it is a QF booking problem. I have since been in touch and resolved the flight change so no further action required.

Incorrect information you've been given by Qantas Contact Centre

A little experience and WP must help and I do like the lovely little "GDS" which instantly alerts the operator to "this guy knows what he is talking about".:D

Incorrect information you've been given by Qantas Contact Centre

I admire your persistence and tenacity, it looks like you are a very patient person. It is insane management to ask customers to go through this amount of torture. If the website was upgraded to handle current needs than this sort of nonsense would happen.
