    I saw this before too but this was posted before the government decided to underwrite a minimum domestic network operation for Virgin (and Qantas) late last week - which as far as im aware, Virgin are still operating despite going into Voluntary Administration.

    It actually falls under your credit card travel insurance policy in the event of travel provider insolvency, so the amount is covered by insurance - however there is usually an excess for this type of claim.

    Ah yes i found the form - lets hope Flight Centre update their own policy/form in due time, especially with all the consumer backlash they are getting! Stories like this on A current Affair should hopefully be putting the pressure on!

    I had the same problem with my original booking agent not replying to me for over 2 weeks (thinking he'd been stood down). I thought about trying the online form but the problem with the form is that there are only 2 options to choose from under "What would you like to do" - "Re-book to a future...

    Nothing to even stop Australian carriers from running their flights overseas (I'm sure there were still foreign nationals needing to travel back home to places like Hong kong, Singapore etc.), they have cancelled all the flights due to commercial reasons.
